Prologue

Elena had heard of Elijah's death. She never knew that she wanted him. Until it was too late. Now thinking back. Before he left for New Orleans.

"my sweet Elena. - I know you are with Damon. - and its not my intention to put more stress on you. - but I have to tell you. - I have feelings for you. - and I would love for you to come with me." Elijah now put his hand on Elena's face. " I'm sorry Elijah. - but I'm with Damon." Elena spoke. With tears in her eyes. Not knowing that it was the sire bond that made her feel the way she did about Damon. Elijah gave a nod. Feeling disappointed. " I'll leave and you won't hear from me again." Elijah then swished off.

Elena not long after that Elena found out that she was sired to Damon. She never felt so foolish like she did in that moment when she found out. She could have been with Elijah. She could've been in New Orleans all this time with Elijah. She could've been happy. Bonnie went to see Elena. And she found Elena like this.

Elijah was with Haley. He was happy. Or at least he tried to be.

Then he heard Elena. And swished over to hear what she had to say. " please come back to me. - please come back to me Elijah." Elijah heart stood still. As he heard what she had to say. Seeing her this upset. It made him sad. It made him wanting to go back to her. Then he remembered who she chose over him. He shook his head. He looked back at Haley. He didn't love her as much as he loved Elena. That won't ever change. But he can't go back. He wouldn't. He stood there.
Watching Elena on the other side. Wishing her the best. Wishing her to move on.

Elena now swished over to Bonnie. " bring him back. - bring Elijah back please." Elena now begged her best friend. " I can try. - but he might not want to come back. - Elena I had to tell you just incase." Bonnie now spoke. " okay. - can you please just try." Elena spoke. Tears still running down her cheeks. Bonnie gave a nod. And muttered some words in Latin. But no one appeared. " I'm sorry Elena." Bonnie spoke. " it's fine. - it's my own fault. - if only I knew. - that I was sired to damon. - I would've left with Elijah." Elena then fell to her knees.
