We set foot into the labyrinth for the first time in our experience as adventurers, as it was impossible for weak adventurers to explore the labyrinth filled with monsters.
The silence and chill of this maze made us alert. "Gest, that's there, let's get started !, Quickly use the fire element, that is their weakness", shouted Higa while pointing at a group of small monsters that ran towards us and turned out to be a spider monster. Me and Higa started attacking the spider monster. Because it's just a small monster, we have no trouble getting rid of them. Only need to burn them down with fire elemental magic, they vanished instantly.
"Well it's time we got out of here, I don't want to meet other monsters." Higa's proposal made perfect sense and I had no reason to reject it. After collecting the gifts from the spider monster earlier, we walked towards the door which was close behind us.
"Hey, shouldn't we be able to get out?", I asked Higa and he was confused. Higa immediately took out a guidebook for adventurers.
"Oh shit, what disaster will befall us?". Seeing Higa react like that I immediately took the manual and read it, it was written that every adventurer who entered could only leave by eradicating the boss monsters in this labyrinth. The two of us could only panic, aware of the many weaknesses and it was impossible for me and this weak Higa to defeat the boss in this labyrinth.
"Akhhhh!". My panic broke when I heard Higa's scream. I was shocked and panicked even more when I saw that Higa's stomach had been pierced by the spider's arm, I was sure that it was the parent of the spiders. Higa who was stabbed and I saw he was not moving anymore, he died in one stab in the stomach. Panic, sadness, and fear mixed into one. Higa is the only person who wants to be my friend and now he's gone forever. But now isn't the time to think about that, it's a way of survival that I have to think about.
