Chapter 2. Just A Peek Inside?
Period 1 math class, Todd sat in front of Elizabeth and beside her sat Joey.
"*Yawn* I'm so tiered today..." Elizabeth said sleepily
"PFFT whatever, wake up by time school ends because we have a old school to investigate." Todd reminded
"Your guys fight like a married couple, both of you shut up. We are all tiered and yes were going to the school tonight. But for now pay attention to Mr. Larvik before we all fail math." Joey whispered.
Passing notes behind Todd's back Elizabeth started the conversation.
---Note To Joey--
Joey what's wrong?
I'll tell you later Lizzy.
When's later?
Lunch okay.

-BEEP- the second period bell rang and Joey bolted out of the class leaving Elizabeth and Todd in his dust. Elizabeth and Todd had a long stare down of confusion then casually walked out and split off towards there next classes. None of them having period two together. Or period three. Both periods went by real quick and soon enough the lunch bell rang.
Like always Elizabeth met Todd at her locker then put all the things she didn't need away. They waited for five minutes then decided to look for Joey. Finding him nowhere they decided to go to "La Café" without him.
"What are to getting?" Todd asked
"I don't know, um...A muffin and hot coco!!"
"O.K well I'm getting a BLT and hot chocolate -as well."
After receiving their orders they walked to the back of the café, and sat in their usual spot. At the very back of the all bras café sat a-lone for person table. Where- like day after day- they sat in there cozy group. They ate in silence until,
"Hey does this mean we're not going to the old school tonight?"
"If we find Joey we will."
"And if we don't?"
"Then I don't go."
"Awe c'mon! Why?"
"Because, we fight too much and it's scary."
"Ha I knew you were scared."
"Shut it."
Another long silence and then, when finished, they both got up washed their hands and left in silent harmony. Once they rounded the final bend to get to their school, Todd broke the silence.
"He sure was acting weird today."
Elizabeth made no comment, and they continued to walk there quiet path. Once arriving at the school Todd and Elizabeth went to her locker to get everything they needed for their next class. Walking down the halls still not speaking, they both felt awkwardness flow over them. And the feeling of eyes watching...Were people making the assumption? Did they think the two of them were...together?\
They both walked into their last period class, were, sitting there in his usual spot was Joey. They both sat down, just like in math Todd sat in front of Elizabeth and Elizabeth besides Joey. They sat motionless and tense, the whole class. And when the Bell for the end of the day, Joey stood up said, "Let's go." And walked out the door, in a perfectly calm way, like nothing even happened earlier.
"Hey you guys I just got to stop off at my house. Be right with you." Todd said on the walk to Elizabeth's.
"Okay meet us at Lizzy's" Joey said.
