It was May 13th 2013, and Min Sunmi had just walked into the rehearsal space for her friends, an group known as BTS. She smiled when she saw how hard they were rehearsing, but her smile faltered when she saw her friend, Kim Namjoon, struggling a bit with the choreography. She watched the group more, her eyes not leaving Namjoon. Sunmi was the younger sister of one the other members so she was always around BTS when they were rehearsing. This meant she got to know Namjoon pretty well which lead Sunmi to develop a crush on Namjoon, but she was too afraid to tell him. Naturally, Namjoon didn't notice the change in Sunmi's behaviour around the time she developed the crush on him, and Sunmi was fine with that as long as he was by her side.

Sunmi had somewhat zoned out and was still staring at Namjoon when the group headed over to her. Sunmi's older brother, Yoongi, waved his hand in front of Sunmi's face to get her attention, causing her to snap out of her trance "oh hey guys. Done practicing already?" she asked them. Yoongi smirked at Sunmi. He was the only one who knew about her crush on Namjoon. He nudged Sunmi's arm "Namjoon wanted us to take a break so he can work on the choreography a bit on his own" Sunmi looked over to Namjoon, who was going over the steps. She smiled softly and picked up a water bottle "He needs to take a break too" she walked over to Namjoon "Joonie" Namjoon stopped practicing when he heard Sunmi call to him. Usually Namjoon would have a big smile on his face when he saw Sunmi, but not this time. He looked annoyed, almost angry "Sunmi what are you doing here?" he asked her. The harshness in Namjoon's voice caught Sunmi off guard "You asked me to come by and watch you guys rehearse" she held out the water bottle "Joonie you need to take a break" Namjoon didn't take the bottle. He looked at Sunmi "What I need is to get this choreography right" Sunmi was surprised by Namjoon's attitude. He had never been like this with her before "You will get it Joonie" she smiles softly. Namjoon sighed and turned completely to face Yerin "There's only a month before our debut. If I don't get this right then we won't debut at all and I can't let everyone down" he snapped. Sunmi stepped back a bit. Namjoon snapping caught the attention of the other members and Yoongi was ready to come to his sister's aid "and you won't debut if you run yourself into the ground" Sunmi's voice echoed through the rehearsal space. Namjoon crossed his arms "I think it is best that you leave" he looked pissed. Sunmi threw the water bottle at Namjoon "fine. I'm going home" she left the rehearsal space.

Several hours passed and the seven boys arrived home to the dorm where they were staying with Sunmi. Once they were in the house, the youngest member, Jungkook, made a beeline for the fridge to get a drink. As he passed the counter, he saw a letter "uh guys" he called out. the other six members walked into the kitchen "What's wrong kookie?" Seokjin asked. Jungkook held up the letter and Yoongi immediately recognized his sister's writing. He took the letter from Jungkook and read it out loud:

"My dearest friends and my dearest brother,

I am sorry that you have to read this but I am leaving Korea. It is time I make my own path and find who I am and I cannot do that if I am focused on something that I can never have...Yoongi knows what I mean. Yoongi also knows that I hate goodbyes so I wrote this letter.
Joonie, I can't bare to watch you run yourself into the ground. I know how passionate you are and how much you want to succeed and help your team, but it kills me to see you do this to yourself. I have watched you run yourself into the ground for the last six months and i can't take it anymore. No one wants to see the one they love destroy themselves...Maybe we will see each other again in the future...

Yoongi almost launched himself at Namjoon "This is your fault Namjoon!" he yelled "She was just trying to fucking help and you had to go off at her!" Namjoon managed to get away from Yoongi. Hoseok and Jungkook had to hold Yoongi back from going after the leader again. Namjoon looked at the letter that had fallen to the floor "I thought she would just come home, not leave Korea. I was frustrated. I was going to apologize when we got back" Yoongi stopped trying to get free of the boys. He walked over to Namjoon calmly "You better hope she's not gone for too long Namjoon" and with that Yoongi walked off to his room. The other members left the kitchen, leaving Namjoon staring at the letter.
