I sigh and shift in my seat. I've always hated long plane rides, the seats are impossibly lumpy, and the food is horrid. I pull my iPod out of my pocket and check the time. It's 1 in the morning in Ireland, which means I've been on the plane for 8 hours, and I have 3 more hours to go. Sigh. I unlock it and change to the song to 'Somebody Save Me' by Cinderella. I love 80's rock and roll. It's something I'll never get tired of hearing. I turn to look around the first class cabin, and see what everyone else is doing. Yeah, we're in first class. It's me, my father, my step mom Darla and my three siblings, Ryan, Jenny and Gabriel. Gabriel, Darla and Ryan are asleep, my father is doing something on his laptop, and Jenny's playing some game on her phone. She glances up and sees me, then gets up and sits down in the seat next to me.
"How much time do we have left?" She asks wearily. Looks like I'm not the only one that hates plane rides.
"3 hours Jen." I answer. She groans, and I shrug.
"Try sleeping. Someone will wake you before we land." I suggest. She nods and goes back to her seat. She turns and mouths 'thanks' at me before laying down and closing her eyes. I smile a bit; Jenny and Gabriel aren't always horrible. Most if the time, they show their true colors and act like brats, but occasionally they're bearable, like now. I turn and look out the window at the clouds. There's not much to look at there, so I turn away and decide to check my phone. I see a text from 9 hours ago that I never opened, and it's from Matteo. I click it, and see that it's a picture message. I click on the file, and it goes full screen. I laugh when I realize what it is. He sent me a picture of Avenged Sevenfold. The message says 'Heres a picture of your boyfriends for the trip. Don't forget to invite us to the wedding, and tell us which one you end up with. Remember, we all have bets about that.' I chuckle, of course my friends placed bets about something that's never gonna happen. Dorks. I smile and save the picture onto my phone, just because. Then I put my phone away, unlock my iPod, and play 'I Won't See You Tonight Part 1'. and put the song on repeat. Then I drop my iPod on my lap and close my eyes. Might as well try and sleep, instead of staying up for 3 more hours with nothing to do.

I feel somebody shaking my shoulder, and the first thing I notice is M Shadows voice in my ears. Then I realize that I'm not moving oddly anymore. We're not in the air anymore. I open my eyes and see Ryan sitting next to me. He grins. I pull out my earphones and pause the song.
"Are we in America?" I ask, my accent thicker than normal since I'm half asleep. Ryan nods.
"Yep. We're here. Father and Darla already left with Jenny and Gabriel since your car is waiting here at the airport." He explains. I nod and look around. There are still a few people on the plane, grabbing their bags from the overhead compartment. There's also a few people being awoken by flight attendants. I stand up and stretch, then Ryan and I grab our carry on bags from the compartment and get off the plane. Ryan's already of age, since his birthday was a few weeks ago, so we don't need an adult to go through customs and everything. After we get our passports stamped and we go through all the processes of being on American soil, we head to the baggage claim to get our luggage. We drag our backpacks off the conveyer belt, and then find out where my car is being held. I sign everything and then get the keys, and we head to the airports garage-thing.
"So. This is America. It's different. And weird. But, no one knows who we are. I like it." Ryan comments dryly. I snicker and nod.
"Oh it's different alright. But it's a big improvement from being 'the O'Connor kids'. I agree. We find my Mustang and throw our bags in the back, then get in. I already have the directions to the new house on my phone, so I let it tell us where to go. When we're about half-way to the house, Ryan points out a restaurant and asks if we can stop. I pull over and look at him. He sighs.
