Dead men, they celebrate
As the final chapter fades away
'Cause they can't hide
We can see their flesh is rotten
The band plays a hopeful tune
The champagne is poured as the socialize
But look in thei-
I groan and shut off my alarm. I sigh and open my eyes.
"Great. An 11 hour plane ride is what I have to look foward to today." I mutter sarcastically, getting out of bed. I take a 5 minute shower, and then I straighten my hair and pull on a Metallica shirt and a pair of black skinny jeans with my black and white checkered slip-on Vans. I unplug my iPhone from the charger and see that its going on 7 in the morning, and our flight doesn't leave until 5:00 this afternoon. I grab a pair of earphones and slip them on, then play Headstrong by Trapt. I turn it up to make sure I can't her anything but the music, and then I walk out of my room and go downstairs. I see my step mom putting away the picture frames that are hanging on the wall. She gets my attention, and I pull out one of my earphones.
"Yeah Darla?" I ask. She smiles.
"Morning Elizabeth. Could you do me a favor and carry those boxes out to the moving van? We're going to put some of this stuff in storage, and it'll be flown out later." She explains. I nod.
"Yeah, no problem." I answer, slipping my earphone back in. I grab two of the boxes and stack one on top of the other, and then I carry them outside. As I put them in the van, I see my friend Alexis walking up the driveway. I climb out of the van.
"Hey Shadz. Looks like you got put to work." She greets me, grinning. I roll my eyes, and she laughs.
"Hey, what was that eye-roll for?" She asks cheekily. I laugh.
"Well, lets see. It might be beause you deided to use my old nickname, or it might be because you're annoying. You pick, SULLIVAN." I say, putting emphasis on her old nickname. She laughs.
"Oh come on. We used to never respond to anything but those names." She says. I nod.
"I remember. I also remember that the only reason we had those nicknames were because you were so in love with The Rev, that I called you by his last name ONCE, and you never wanted to be called anything else. And then you started calling me Shadz." I say, teasing her. She shrugs.
"Yeah well, I still love him, so make fun all you want, that nickname was perfect." She says, sticking her tongue out at me. I laugh.
"Alright Sullivan, now either help me with the boxes inside, or get outta here and I'll meet you and the rest of the guys at your house." I say. She laughs and jogs down the driveway.
"Oh yeah Shadz, I'll help, right away." She calls sarcastically. I roll my eyes and walk inside to grab some more boxes, listening to music again.

*5 hours later*
"Elizabeth." I hear my father say calmly. I put down the box I was holding, and walk into my fathers study. I stop in front of his desk, and stand up straight.
"Yes sir?" I ask, waiting for him to speak.
"Elizabeth, you've done enough for today. You may go into town one last time before we leave. All I ask is that you wake Ryan and take him with you." He instructs. I nod.
"Very well. Thank you father." I say, waiting. He nods once.
"You may go." He dismisses, going back to whatever he was doing before. I exit the study, and relax. My father does not like bad posture or bad manners, and although I don't have horrible posture and terrible manners, I always have to be on my best behavior around my father. You do not want to disappoint my father, believe me. I walk up stairs and into Ryan's room, and see him splayed across the bed, tangled in the covers. I huff. Ryan isn't the easiest person to wake up, or keep awake, which is why my father wants me to take him with me. If Ryan is in town, then he won't have the opportunity to go back to sleep. I grab a part of the cover, and yank hard. It comes off of the bed, and off of my brother. It doesn't even phase him, even though half of it was under him. I sigh and walk over to the window. I open it, and the cold December air comes in. Ryan shivers and reaches for his cover, and when he does't find it, he cracks one eye open.
