𝐶ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑡𝑒𝑟 10 - 𝑚𝑒𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑦 𝑙𝑜𝑠𝑠

The Sun rose, Gabriel and Nathalie had to think about a way to get out of that strange world.

"All right what do you suggest?" Nathalie asked.

Gabriel didn't answer, he seemed to be lost in his thoughts and he had a sad expression on his face.

"What is it?"

Gabriel looked at her.

"I was thinking about Emilie because apparently she is alive in this universe"

Nathalie felt a deep pain into her chest.

"I'm sorry, I dragged you away from her"

"You don't have to be sorry Nathalie, she's not real"

He gave her a comforting smile before looking around for the kwamis.

Nooroo and Duusu were staring at them in confusion.

"Do you remember anything about us?" Gabriel asked them.

"What do we have to remember master?" Nooroo asked.

Gabriel sighed.

"All right Nathalie, I think we should find Tale Teller"

"Do you think he is here?"

"He created this world so there must be a way to talk to him"

Nathalie nodded.

"The problem is we don't even know where to start searching for him"

Gabriel looked around.

"Well, first we should return on the dry land"

Nathalie was happy they were almost at the end of that adventure.

"Let's go back then"

She turned the wheel and the ship sailed searching for the land.

Nooroo and Duusu were watching the two adults.

"Did you understand anything?" Nooroo asked.

"No" the other kwami gave him a sad gaze.

"My Master asked if we remembered something but what?"

"I have no idea but they make a very cute couple don't you think?"

"Yes maybe but that wasn't my question"

Nooroo looked at Duusu but the little kwami was too focused on Gabriel and Nathalie to care about his doubts.

Suddenly a loud thud from behind them made Gabriel and Nathalie jump.

Tale Teller was standing in front of them looking amused.

"I sensed something wrong here"

"What do you want?" Gabriel yelled.

"We took our memories back, you can't control us anymore" Nathalie smirked.

"I don't think so"

The villain smiled evilly, Gabriel and Nathalie looked at their kwamis.

"We can't transform now" Gabriel muttered.

Tale Teller approached them.

"I guess I have to solve this issue before you can do anything to stop me"

The couple stepped back but the villain was in front of them in a second.

He stretched out his arms and touched them, then he smiled and disappeared.

Nooroo and Duusu flew to the place where Gabriel and Nathalie were.

"Are you ok?" the kwamis asked.

The couple fell on their knees and for a moment they stayed silent.

"What am I doing here?" The man asked getting up.

"Who are you?" The woman asked pointing at him.

"Who are you?" He retorted.

"I asked first"

"I'm prince Gabriel Agreste and I won't let a peasant like you tell me what to do"

"Well, you answered me though"

Nathalie smiled.

Gabriel looked around.

"Why am I on a ship? Did you kidnap me?"

Nathalie gave him a curious gaze.

"Maybe I did or maybe I didn't, I don't know" she shrugged.

Nooroo and Duusu appeared in front of them.

"Uhm, hello?" Nooroo said.

"Who are you?"

"Are you two some sort of fairies?"

The two adults seemed to be perplexed.

"I think they have forgotten about us" Duusu whispered.

"I can see that"

The man started to panic.

"Emilie! I have to go back to her!"

"Who is Emilie?" Nathalie asked.

"None of your business"

The woman pouted.

"Hey you two!"

A ship approached theirs, it was full of guards.

"Oh great" Nathalie muttered.

Gabriel seemed happy to see them.

"I'm glad you found me, this woman kidnapped me from my castle"

The guards seemed to be perplexed but decided to not ask anything else, they were happy enough for catching Nathalie.

"Yes your majesty, come with us and we will take you back to your castle"

The man smiled and jumped on board of the other ship while a group of guards carried Nathalie and put her in a cell.

"Who are you anyway?" Nathalie asked from behind the bars.

"I told you"

"I mean, why were you on my ship?"

"I don't know, maybe because you kidnapped me"

"I didn't kidnapped you, I don't even know who you are"

"You are lying"

"I'm not"

Gabriel walked away from her and Nathalie sat down on the floor.

Why were we on the same ship?

She couldn't explain that to herself, it was like they were doing something together but they lost their memories about it.

She didn't know what was real and what was false but the feelings she had for that man were clear to her.

She cared for him somehow.

Gabriel wasn't less confused.

He felt like he knew that woman, he loved that woman.

He thought about Emilie, he loved her, she was his fiancée so he had to merry her.

Think about Emilie.

Think about her.

He tried to convince himself.
