Dark Woods Circus is known to be quite a sad stories, and most believe it is based on a true story.

The story that it is based around is about circuses, most particularly old European circuses.

What happens in the circus is, that children get captured and mutilated. On my personal belief, i think that the children were lured into the circus, and then captured by the ringmaster and sent away to be mutilated and deformed in many horrifying ways.  What had led me to believe this is that we see a young Meiko wondering around the circus, and we see her get taken away and later, at the very end, mutilated like the others. It also shows flashbacks of when the children were normal. When they returned to the circus, they would be put on display, and also sexual intercourse would be shown.

What had happened during the circus? Well, 7 children were experimented on and they were Miku, Rin and Len, Kaito, Neru and Haku. In the end, Meiko joins them. Neru and Haku had their legs extended drastically, Kaito had his brain switched for one of a dog's, Miku's legs were replaced by goat legs, and Rin and Len share a body.

During the song, Neru and Haku don't sing. Miku, Rin and Len sing most of the song, and Kaito only gets one line. In my view, Kaito only got this one line because of his mentality of a dog, and a dog can't entirely sing, right?

The phrase rotting fruit show a loss of virginity.

The prequel, wide knowledge of the late, madness shows what had happened while they were being experimented on. But, after seeing the original (which was quite creepy, mind you), I was thinking maybe or maybe not. Another song which isn't officially known as a prequel, but many people seem to view it that way, is Kagome Kagome, which bases itself off the same setting, yet is known to be quite different, as it is a different setting and time period all together.

At the start of the song, one of the messages in the writing of the song is "As they dream of a mother's embrace" (Correct me if i am wrong). This shows that, since in Kagome Kagome they are orphans, that it is a possibility it could be considered a prequel.

However, the two songs mentioned above have been proven to not be official, as in Wide Knowledge of The Late, Madness the PV was changed and the added Dark Woods Circus intro music was placed in. Kagome Kagome is based on another setting and time period all together.

Its not certain whether this is true or not, but its a possibility that it could be.

A/N: I never actually liked circuses anyways. The song, dispite being quite spooky, is quite sad, when you find out what had happened to the children :( Anyways, thanks to my fellow Vocaloidian, @Bijou003, for requesting this song :) Hope this helps ;) Requests are very welcome :P
