The Upside Down Confession

Chapter 1: The Reunion

After dashing into a handful of people and muttering sorries in their ears, she makes a halt trying to calm her breathing. Her hands finally lay on the chor , who stole her bouquet specially hand-picked by her, for her sabse-azees-dost (close friend/best friend). As the three golden words besharam-behaya-kamzarf  just leave her mouth, the chor  wearing a brown hoodie who used it to cover his face turns around. An irritated Zoya's face instantly lits up as she sees that he was not a chor but her  The Aditya Hooda. "Aditya!" Zoya exclaims as she gives him a heartwarming smile and a soul satisfactory hug. Taken aback by her sudden reaction, Aditya's eyes widen in surprise! "Woah! Woah! Calm down!" Aditya said wrapping his hands around her as the flowers cascade down from the bright blue sky, celebrating the reunion of friends.

"This is the way you meet your friend?" Zoya asked faking her anger.

"When you can do so much drama, then why not me!" Aditya said winking back at her.  

Chuckling at his statement, Zoya continues " Okay! Okay! Stop your overacting drama. We're going to ZOSH events now. The staff is more than elated to welcome you back!"       

"Wait what do you mean by welcome me back?"      

"Arre! They all want to see my business partner back in action after all!"

"Business partner? Are you joking?!! That was six months ago not now." he said throwing his hands up in the air.

"Of course not! Why would you be when they have me?! I was just kidding!" said Zoya with a pout face. "Come! Come! Let's go. They all can't wait to see you."

The Hooda House

Chocomati  read the caller ID. Without wasting a second more, Arjun picked up the call while getting dressed in front of the mirror for the court session.       

"Good morning Chocomati!"

"Good morning Choconawaz! Looks like you are having a joyous morning!" 

"No doubt I'm having one! The reason is Bhai's return after all!" 

"Even Appi is so happy with Aditya's return. It's like her lost wings came back to her!" Noor heard Arjun's laughter echoing from the other side of the call. 

"I've to talk to Bhai about mom dad's wedding anniversary. I want to give this event to Zoya because she is the best in Mumbai and also she works efficiently." 

"But will Anjana aunty agree to this?" 

"There are two reasons for her to agree. One : She cannot say no to Bhai and my decision. And two : She doesn't hate Zoya anymore because she realized that she was the one who brought him back."

"That is some great news to hear!"

"I know! Noor are you ready for tonight's show? I'm nervous because this is your first time working with me, though you've worked on morning shows." 

"I'm so excited Arjun! I can't wait for tonight! We'll be working together for the first time!" 

"It will be RJ AJ and RJ Noor tonight who will cast magic in everybody's hearts for the first time!" Bidding goodbyes to each other, they resumed their respective works.

While rushing downstairs, Arjun met Anjana and Harshvardhan who were busy having their breakfast and discussing about the event.

"Good morning mom dad." 

"Good morning beta." 

"Mom I had to remind you about calling Sakshi aunty for inviting her for the event."                      

"Phirse (again) Sakshi." A disappointed look passed on her face as she whispered which went unnoticed by Arjun but observed by Harsh. Harsh placed his palm on top of her's to pacify her.

"I will."

"Welcome back Sir!" The ZOSH staff hooted as Aditya and Zoya entered the office. "Thank you so much everyone! This is such a sweet gesture from you guys!" Aditya said smiling, trying to be less formal. But the boss in him wasn't ready to accept this change. Mingling himself and getting involved in chatter, he didn't notice his friend looking at him with an adorable smile and her eyes which were gleaming with happiness. She felt the void in her heart getting filled with unsaid but heartfelt emotions. Dragging him from the company of all the girls, who were drooling at him, she took him to her cabin.

"So where had you been all this while? You were only in Paris or were you roaming all around like a hippie?"

"I was travelling  all around but I wasn't a hippie." Aditya said narrowing his eyes at her with a straight face. Her laughter filled the air which felt like music to his ears. "Its been so many days since I last saw you smiling!"

"I was here only Aditya. You were the one running away from the world, from your family and from me." she said sighing.

"I wasn't running away. I was on a journey of self - discovery. And anyways I've comeback no!"

"Journey of self - discovery? If you think you can discover yourself by living between strangers then you are wrong. Life is like a voyage. You've to love the tides and pass the hardships the sea throws at you. But that doesn't mean you stop sailing right?"

"Hmm."

"Hmm? Sirf (only) hmm? I gave you a life changing speech and you are saying hmm?"

"Sorry sorry. I was quite lost in interpreting what you just said." he said with a thin smile.

"Okay okay you're excused this time." Zoya said with a don't-mess-with-me look." 

"Heard you've received awards and all. Not bad huh!"

"Not bad?! Mr. Hooda! What do you think of yourself huh? I've built this company with so much of efforts and hardwork and you are telling not bad?" huffing she took her seat. Finally a smile broke out on his face and she was more than happy to know that she made him smile.

"Yeah you've done all this with your efforts but there is my hand too in this right? Anyways you have already acknowledged that in front of the world so there's no need for hide and seek!" he said with a proud smile.

Biting her tongue she continued, "Oh! So you saw the award function?" 

"Of course! How could I miss your award ceremony Pooja?"

Helllooo! Not new to wattpad. But definitely new to writing here. Adiya is like that old retro song which you can't and wouldn't want to get of your head! Almost 2 years of the show ending but it still feels like it ended a month ago.

 Just trying my best to write and improvise everyday:) Hope y'all liked the concept and would like to read further.
