And Seri thought he was her ally. 

"It's too early. We're still in a getting-to-know stage."

"Well tell us more about him...it's a him, I presume?" Seo Dan's shoulders leaned forward from the couch she was sitting on.

"Well yes..."

"What's his name?" Alberto fired away.

Even that one Seri could not answer.

"How did you meet?" Seo Dan goaded.

"He's someone...I met on the Internet. Look can we talk about something else?."

"Internet?" Alberto picked this detail with a doubtful tone, "Someone you swiped? Dating site?"

"No no, it's nothing like that, we met at a messaging board." Seri had to do something to establish some dignity.

"A messaging board..." Alberto remained skeptical as he rubbed his chin, "But do you at least know his SNS profile?"

Seri chewed on her lip, "I told you guys, I don't know enough yet."

"Ah but Seri...You have to be careful." Alberto cautioned, "I say this with utmost sincerity. There are many good impersonators on the Internet nowadays, have you heard about catfishing? They are very persuasive, especially if they hold some information about you."

This hit a nerve in Seri that led her to go full-on offensive, "Hey. Do you think I'm gullible to fall for those kinds of things? I'm not a fool. I will never be scammed that easily."

"No one is saying you're a fool, Seri." Alberto said with placating hands, "I'm only saying they are real."

"And I know how to tell a counterfeit Gucci from a mile. Change the topic." Seri commanded. She should have gotten something stronger than some expensive juice. 

Seo Dan quietly sipped her drink.
