"man sato, you outdid yourself with these roast potatoes," momo said happily as she went to have another bite

all 1-A was having a nice roast dinner together

"They remind me of my great grandma's potato's she makes on thanksgiving" asui smiled happily

the students then started sharing stories of what their families did during thanksgiving

all except one

"what about you tokobro? what does your family do?" Kirishima asked the even quieter than normal raven head

"Uhm, I don't have a family, so we don't celebrate it" tokoyami admitted as he played with his food

silence filled the room to the new revelation of their friend

"Sorry, I shouldn't have said anything, I'll leave," tokoyami said as he noticed the tension he thought he had created, he gathered his plate to eat it elsewhere

"tokoyami wait" occhco said sadly, but he had already left

the class was quite before tsu broke the silence

"Did anybody know about this," she asked sadly

everyone simply shook their head

"poor toko, he's never had a proper thanksgiving, possibly never had other important festivals either" hagukaura cried

"well let's change that," midoriya said determinedly

"what are you thinking?" shoot asked

and so midoriya shared his thoughts

tokoyami woke up to the smell of something sweet yet savoury

with a yawn, he got out of bed and opened the door

outside of his door, he saw an arrow pointing to the downstairs

that's where he found his friends swirling, baking, mixing and cooking

"tokoyami! about time you showed up, come join us" sero beckoned the raven head

"what's going on?" the raven asked with confusion

"well, you said you never celebrated thanksgiving so we thought we would host an early thanksgiving for you to join in with us" midoriya stated excitedly

tokoyami couldn't help but hold in tears of happiness

"thank you all so much" he thanked

in the end, they all had a lot of fun

they made and ate turkey, gravy, stuffing, potatoes, veggies, and pie

shared thanksgiving stories

and gave thanks for everything they were thankful for

and when it was tokoyami's time

even the toughest of cookies shed a tear

"and I'm thankful for all of you, you are the most amazing friends I have ever had and the fact you did all of this just for me, I may not have a biological family, but you're the best family any person could ever wish to have"
