Hhmmm..... what should I wear?  I thought, going through my closet. I run my fingers down the hangers back and forth as it makes a clicking sound one after the other. *click, click, click, click...click, click, click, click.*  I'm standing in the same position as I was before about twenty-five minutes ago thinking whether or not I should buy myself a dress since I never had one. I never had bothered about how I looked, like girls in the school. But this time, I just suddenly became one of them.

"Alrighty then!" I straightened up and looked at the mirror, "I think it's about time."

I picked up my wallet and jogged out the door. After walking several blocks, a beauty parlor caught my eye. I stood in front of the parlor and before I knew it, I caught myself petting the tip of my hair where almost all the damaged parts are. I always thought of them as a waste of time and money so I cut my own hair. It doesn't always turn out well but having an overgrown, un-healthy hair is worst than having a short unleveled hair. In my opinion

"It doesn't hurt if i just try right?" I clutched the door knob and twitched it left and right but it wouldn't open. I tried it for several times and it's still being stubborn. I looked up at the window to make sure that the parlor is open. It is open. but how come--

" U-um, you're supposed to slide it open" a girl's voice came before me

startled, i quickly turned around. a girl about my age stood with a very friendly smile on her face. I awkwardly smiled back and said, "oh, thanks."

I slid the door open using the door knob. A door knob? its their fault for having a door knob instead of the usual sliding door handle. The moment i stepped in the parlor, a very uncomfortable smell invaded my nose. Mixed shampoos and conditioners scent floated in the air with a hint of burnt hair. how can people stand the smell of this place?

*someone tapped my back.

"Do you have an appointment?"

I turned around and saw a lady with the most unsual hairstyle i've ever seen.

"no" I answered

"over here please" she said

I followed her.

she gestured her hand to a big chunky spinning chair and made me sit..

"so, what can i do dear." she asked.

"uh..."

she smiled gently then started playing with my hair.

" your hair is pretty ragged" she pointed out. "do you want me to fix it?"

"d-do what ever is best" I said reluctantly.

"you do know that you have to pay after this, right?"

"yes."

we both laughed.

*pssht, pssht, pssht * snip, snip, snip

after thirty minutes or so, a wild gasp came straight from behind. Oh no, she did something wrong to my hair!. I was ready for her pleading voice asking for forgiveness but instead, I heard no type of apology. I shifted my eyes on the mirror to where she is and saw her cuffing her cheeks with both hands while smiling wide as if it were to touch both of her ears. My eyes shifted back from where it was to see me. Holly crap! is that me?! I thought. I barely recognized myself. How could've i not notice it? my hair's not shorter than before, but it looks healthier. Dead ends are long gone. Layers of hair started from ears down to my chest, while side bangs dangled on my forehead. A well designed hair pin was carefully placed on the side my ear. It doesnt sound a whole lot, but it made a big change from plane unleveled hair to this.

"thankyou"

"no problem be sure to come back again!"

The moment i stepped out the door, fresh air released me from the disgusting smell of the parlor. The smell was new to me that along the way, sneezes kept on attacking me. I'm glad that it didn't ruin my hair while she was doing the cutting. I didn't know how she managed.

* Beep, beep, beep. A sound came out of my wrist.

I raised my arm and looked at the watch that im wearing. 2:30. Shock shot through me while I stood frozen on the ground.

" I can't believe that I forgot!" I said to my self, " this is all the reason I went to the parlor! to get ready for my first date!"

A second later my feet moved by its self. Running, jolting, and bumping to people made me uneasy. I never did exercise in my life, and have not really been concerned about my health either so running for me is the hardest crap ever. Good thing I have my comfortable clothes on, this makes it less harder to run. I'm wearing a worn-out baggy jeans which sways here and there with every step i make. On top, just a random t-shirt. I went out to buy myself a decent dress but instead, i got myself a new hair cut. Will he recognize me?

*screeeeechh!!!!

I made a little dramatic entrance sliding on the side-walk just in front of the park; where we were supposed to meet. Sweat streamed down my face as i dropped my hands onto my knees to catch my breath. After I recover, I raised my body in a good posture and started walking around in a hope of finding him despite how late i am. Thinking about it makes me very unruly in every single way. My first date! and im late!. I've been walking for about five minutes now and I----

Scenery:
Akane (the one's narrating the story) stood paralyzed while her fists are locked until it's turned white. Her eyes are wide as an owls with shock and fierce in it. The wind steadily blew cold air that made Akane's hair flow to the other side. Dried leaves slowly descend from the tree down to the ground.

From shock and anger, I stood there watching the thing that i had never expected.

"are you sure?"  * a girl's voice.

"don't worry."  *a deep mans voice

both sat on the fountain while flirting with each other. Eiske.... why... I thought to myself. There voices gets shallower and shallower as they scootch closer and end up whispering. It's hard for me to hear what there saying, and im not a good lip reader to. This just made me even more agitated. Anger and Frustration now reached its highest peak, that it all leaked out as tears out of my eyes. Eiske slides closer and put his arm around her. He's brown hair flickered with the sunlight with every move he makes. A smirk then flashed on his face as he caresses her shoulder, stroke after stoke. As I stand watching them, my heart pounds so hard that I could almost hear it. My chest hurts as if I was running like Before. My body jerks on the side just enough movement for him to get his attention. He gave me a blank stare while I give him the shock and worried look. This eye to eye contact did nothing but only made my anxiety grow larger. The moment he realized I was staring at him, confusion and uncertainty strikes him, he chuckles and moves on to his business.

"don't you have a girlfriend?" the girl asked

Eiske chuckles and said,"are you kidding me? i mean did you see her? she is so plain and dull! shes ugly!"

At that very moment, shots of thousands and thousands of fine needles pierced my heart. Pain shot through me. Hatred and sadness both mixed together.

My meandering body stiffened up and a new face covered the old one. I smiled with an vigorously while walking towards him and then gave him a glare when our faces aligned. I walked with confidence when I passed him. But now im away, I still can't bear the pain inside. Then again, I started weeping, everything i see starts to blur. Until there's nothing I can look upon.
