The next day, I woke up and went to school with Ben. I spent the night there because Ben insisted I stay. I didn't really put up much of a fight anyways.  I was confused and worried about Sophie. Suddenly all my anger had shifted towards my parents.

I couldn't trust them, so I need to find the truth first.

"So, what exactly is your plan?" I asked him on the way to school. The drive was short, only being about five minutes from school.

"Well, I am guessing you want to know the reason she was locked up and why your parents would hide it from you. I am assuming we can find that out through their finances, and since we won't take any money, they will never know." he said simply. It seemed to check out.

"That's a good idea" I said after a minute.

When we pulled into the parking lot, everyone was staring at us. I instantly regretted not walking to school.

"Oh god." I muttered. He laughed and said the most cocky thing I have ever heard.

"I never bring girls to school, they are just jealous." He said. I turned and gave him a look, that he just laughed at.

"I hope your joking." I said. he winked at me. As I looked at all the girls, it seemed like that was actually true.

I hoped the school day would go by slowly so I wouldn't have to go home, but everyone was making snide comments to me on my way to class.

At lunch, which I was dreading, Pearl and Rachel asked me a million questions per minute and I finally got up and yelled.

"Be quiet. Omg you guys. He helped me out now calm the fuck down!" They shut up for a moment and then continued to came up with theories while I walked away. I was dreading how annoying my friends were when someone pulled me into a class room.

"Hey so I got some info from the bank accounts. I got into the most recently paid bills and then noticed that your parents have been sending monthly payments to the same place." Ben rushed the words out, excitement filling his eyes.

"Umm, what place?" I asked nervously.

"Oakview asylum." Ben said quietly. Chills ran up my spine. I grabbed my phone and searched the place up. It was only 30 minutes away and it looked run down. I couldn't understand why my parents would send their own child there.

I looked through the website for additional information , but all I found was that it was in the middle of nowhere.

"Are you okay?" Ben asked me after a few minutes. I looked up from my phone, into his brown eyes.

"Thank you, but I need to go." I told him and ran out before he could follow me.

I ran to my house and through the front door. I was so angry and confused and hurt that I wasn't thinking straight.

I saw my dad sitting in the arm chair and I lost all rational thought.

"How could you... you. you. you evil, disgusting-" I stared yelling. He walked over and slapped me so hard I fell over. When I stood back up, I was shocked. I almost didn't speak again, but I couldn't help myself.

"Why, how could you send her away? to that crazy place? You horrible human!" I yelled again. This time he raised his hand to slap me again but I ducked. I ran into the kitchen with tears, trying to find my sister.

"Where is she!" I yelled as I came back out.

"Back where she should be." he said simply. I was so appalled by him. I couldn't stand it.

"Fuck you." I yelled as I ran out side. I felt a hand on my wrist. I was so confused that I couldn't process what was happening.

I got dragged up the stairs hitting everything around me. My vision had blurred and I was now in what I think was my room.
