My head whipped to the direction of the key. Except I'm not sure if it is a key, cause it's glowing a while ago. But now, it looked like a normal car key again. But the name Tyche wasn't engraved on it anymore.
I'm pretty sure it was real, but I think it was only a spur of the moment thingy. My father probably had captured mages cast spells on this key to keep me from dying.
I snorted. Yeah, right. As if he cares.
I got the key and went out, stretching my arms after closing the door again. I looked around and my eyes landed on one building I think I need the most.
Mountainville Inn
I smiled at myself and walked inside.
"Whoa." If I thought the outside view of the building was amazing, the inside was totally great! It was fantastic!
There were chandeliers. The paintings were somewhat ancient, although they're beautifully creative. Mona Lisa and Spolarium were here too. Just when was this inn built? It was like I was in a castle.
"May I help you, young lady?"
I turned to the concierge and smiled at her. "Um... Can I get a room?"
"Are you a student of Mountainville University, Ma'am?"
I nodded. "Yes. I'm Natalie."
She cocked her head to one side and pulled a record book.... Or something. She scrolled through it, and after finding what she was searching for, she looked at me. "Do you happen to be Ms. Natalie Colleen R. Lithieum? Daughter of Hebreus R. Lithieum?"
I wanted to frown, but it would be rude so I just forced a smile. "Yes, ma'am. I am that Natalie."
She smiled at me and handed me a key. "5th floor, Room 512."
I thanked her and made my way to the elevator. So this is the school's official hotel? The owner must be really rich. Considering the designs.
The elevator door opened and I entered, not minding the guy beside me.
As I waited, he suddenly spoke. "Ah, I see King Hebreus has resorted to this."
I shivered. This guy knows who I am. Is he a mage? Shit, I'm in danger.
He turned around and frowned at me. He had fangs. "Do I look like some witch to you?"
A vampire. Maybe he's from the Varvakeion? Oh god. That makes him even more deadly! I stepped back. But he frowned even more. He took his cap off and looked at me.
"I'm not one of those filthy monsters. I'm Steven Nyx. Yes, I'm from the Nyx clan."
My eyes widened. The Nyx? Are you kidding me? The Nyx was long gone! I should know, because my father held a meeting to protect their clan once. There were different kings from different clans. They made a barrier to protect them from the Varvakeions but to no avail. They broke through, those monsters.
They killed everyone, including the King, and pulverized the whole clan. They turned them to ashes. Yes, they burned the Nyx alive. They're cruel and ruthless. I'd rather be killed by a mage than by a vampire from the Varvakeion. But I heard the Prince escaped...
"Yep, I'm Steven Nyx, the Prince. Oh, nice to meet you, Natalie, but this is where you stop and go." The elevator door opened and he pushed me outside. I was about to protest when he smiled at me and said, "Questions will be answered tomorrow. I'm also enrolled here."
Before I could even react, the elevator door closed in my face. Right. How nice.
Never mind, I'm just gonna search for my room.
I walked until I came across a room.
Room 512.
Ah, I'm here! Hooray! I can't wait to flop down on the bed! I took my key and opened the door. Yay! I wonder how fluffy the pillows a---
But the next thing I saw didn't exactly make me happy.
"You've got to be kidding me."

Third Person
The concierge scanned through her records. Until something caught her attention.
It was the name of the girl earlier and her roommate. Her eyebrow rose. "Oh, a male and a female in a room? Interesting... Maybe some kind of romance will occur? I wish they don't do things though."
Ohhh, if only she knew what happened between Natalie and that guy. Wonder if she'd still think the same? :))

Guys, there will be some Greek mythology thingies mentioned in here. But I won't really follow their history. I just needed their names' meanings. Ill make the rest up myself.
Thanks for reading! :}
