No Freakin' Way
×Leonel's POV×
"Hey, dude! Why don't you introduce me to little miss action star right there?" The broken record beside me asked as I jabbed the punching bag for the 23rd time. I sighed in irritation and stopped. We were in the middle of a class, Training, to be exact, and all he did was follow me around asking about my roommate. What a great student.
"Geez, Armand, give her a break," I said, rolling my eyes. "You've been asking me about her for the past three days! Bro, school started on Monday, and it's Thursday now! You're asking questions nonstop! Why don't you just go straight to where she is and ask her yourself?"
"Eh, she kind of looks... Scary."
I looked at him. "Scary? Which part of her?"
He pointed his two fingers on his eyes. "Her eyes, man. They're red. I have never encountered anyone with ted eyes before. And she's always...reeking of killing intent... And dude, have you taken a look at her eyes for seconds? Whenever our eyes meet, she doesn't react..."
I raised an eyebrow. "She's not reeking of killing intent. When you get to talk to her, she's actually nice and bubbly," I shrugged. Well what? Natalie is nice. Yesterday, she even handed me a bottle of water after training.
Armand sighed. "Easy for you to say, Leonel. You're friends with her."
I landed a hook on the punching bag, saying, "That's because no one tries to be friends with her. No one wants to. Just because of what happened on the first day."
"Nah, that's not really it. Look," he pointed at someone standing beside a tree. Wait... She's familiar... "That girl wants to talk to Natalie. But she just doesn't know how. Natalie kind of emits a superior something aura."
I squinted at the girl, who was biting her lip. She had red hair and had glasses. Whenever she took a step near Natalie, who was kicking cans, she would step backwards again, only to repeat the same routine over and over. "Wait, isn't that Alexandria Joshen?"
Armand nodded. "Yeah. I think she's taken a liking to Natalie. Well, we all have. She's pretty, has the right curves in the right places, skilled, strong, smart, and she has a rebel attitude. Every teenager wants that."
"Rebel, huh," I said, smirking. He didn't know what he was talking about. Rebel? Natalie? Psh. If rebel means a person who does the assignments till midnight, then yes, she might be a rebel. "Then why don't you look at Joshen again?"
And he did, eyes wide at what he saw. "Dude... Don't tell me Natalie is heading over to where Joshen is!"
"Yup, she is," I said, chuckling. Natalie was running over to Joshen, and was now initiating a conversation with her. I felt a smile creep up my face. It might not be obvious, based on Natalie's appearance and her usual poker face, but she's got a soft spot for loners. I guess she experienced it once too. She was actually really shy, and that's why she always practices alone. She thinks she's awkward to talk to. I admit, she is. But when the conversation starts to become entertaining for her, she would smile and laugh.
She's a great girl. I wonder why everyone fails to see that.
I suppose it's because of her cold, tough girl facade. What I can't explain, though, was that why her eyes were red. I'm not complaining, though. It fits her perfectly. Her eyes were mesmerizing, to be honest. And I'm sure that guys would swarm her once she rids herself of her cold stares and glares.
