Chapter 9

Savrina's POV

Sa loob ng nakaraang linggo wala akong ginawa kundi mag hire ng tao para sa restaurant. I also finalized the menu and the prices. Gusto ko, affordable pa din ang presyo ng pagkain sa restaurant but aiming for a Michelin Star. A fine dine and a food that is worth the price. Kaya maingat ako sa pag pili ng Sous Chef as he/she will assist me. I will work as Executive Chef of my own restaurant. In line with that, I also need to hire a manager. I just wanted to focus on the food and preparing it. Gusto kong ako mismo ang mag oover-see ng pagkain na ihahanda sa mga customer. With this, I can make sure that La Constancia will serve food with love and care. I named the restaurant after my mom which is also the name of our restaurant. She also likes to cook, pareho naming hilig ito and I just can't believe that Dad sold the restaurant my mom owned before. 

Until now wala pa akong napipiling Sous Chef and Manager. I already hired 5 waiters/waitresses and kitchen staff, I also hired cashier and 2 guards. Napuno na ang email ko ng applications of  resume from different people. Nag post kasi ako ng job advertisement sa jobstreet.

To my surprise, I saw a familiar email. It was from James. I open it and he just ask me how am I doing. I ignored it. Masyado akong madaming iniisip para lang i-entertain pa sya.

I was busy checking the emails ng biglang tumunog ang cellphone ko. Tito Albert was calling me and I answered.

"Savrina hija, glad you pick up the call. Have you made up your mind?"

"Tito, there's nothing to think about. Hindi ako papayag sa gusto ni Papa and---"

"Then I guess I have to talk to Amanda about this. C'mon hija, your dad just wanted to give you a better life. Ni hindi mo pa nga nakikilala yung lalaki umaatras ka na agad. Just give him a chance."

Ano kayang kapalit ng pag payag ng lalaking yun sa kagustuhan ni Papa? Nasa isip ko. I gotta know why. Bigla akong na-curious sa lalaking ipapakasal sa akin ni Papa.

"Okay Tito, I wanna know who's the guy. I'm sure alam mo kung sino."

"I know hija, nandun ako nung kinausap sya ni Al. Come to the office tomorrow. You'll meet him. Glad you'll give it a try, else ipapakasal na kita kay Greg."

He giggled.

"Tito naman. Parang kapatid ko na si Greg eh."

"I know hija, but I think hindi kapatid ang turing nya sayo."

"Tito!"

"Just messing you up hija, see you tomorrow."

Yun lang at saka ibinaba ni tito Albert ang tawag. I wonder why we will meet in the office.

I keep on checking the applicants hanggang sa napagod na ang mga mata ko katitig sa computer. I closed my laptop and checked the living room kung saan nag kalat ang mga pamplets na ipapamigay sa opening. Thanks to Lei's studio na gumawa ng mga pamplets na ito.

Bigla ulit ang pagtunog ng cellphone ko so I went to my bedroom to get it. Calvin is calling and I excitedly answered it.

"Bitchhhhhhh! I miss you so baddddd, why did you call just now?"

"Honey I have no time to explain. Just open your door."

"Huh? w-why?"

"Because, I'm so freakin tired."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa narinig. Does it mean nandito sya? Dali dali kong binuksan ang pintuan ko and I saw Calvin standing right in front of me. Holding his phone on one hand while his luggage on the other hand.
