Y/n snapped out from, whatever she was thinking. She looked over to the source of the voice, though Y/n had known it from the start, she still did it anyways. The familiar lilac eyes gazed at her.
"Captain," she greeted with a solemn face. Averting her gaze back to the book, the h/c didn't want to pay any mind to people. Wether they're normal citizens, knights, guards, or even her superior.
"Wanna grab dinner tonight?"
Y/n's eyebrows knitted together in a total confusion. Of course, Kaeya couldn't see what kind of expression she was making, but he knew what made her confused. "But it's eleven?" Y/n replied, not moving her gaze from the book.
"You haven't eaten anything right?" The man asked confidently, as if he had been paying attention to her. Though, she wouldn't mind knowing how enemies or other people watched her.
It could be even her comrade, which she fortunately, didn't have. Ever since she came, Y/n had chosen to work on her own, thinking of working together as something that weighed her down.
The blue haired man walked and sat down on the chair across the girl without asking consent first. He knew for sure that her answer would be, 'no'. His body leaned on the chair as he crossed his arms. Y/n still kept her gaze on the book, not even paying a mind to him. "Bold of you to assume I didn't," Y/n replied.
His face was still calm with the usual playful smirk whilst playing his mora.
Rumors that spreaded around about Y/n being a cold-hearted woman reached his ears. He was prepared for everything that would come if he was talking to her. Y/n held in a sigh, trying her best not to roll her eyes. It will be a disrespectful manners, causing much more ruckus.
"Let's be real, you saw everything that night, Sir Kaeya?"
Silence fell upon them, giving them some time to tensed the atmosphere. The silence ended when he clapped his hands and smirked proudly, as if he had done something great. "Wow, you're indeed sharp, Apprentice."
"I'm not," she shook it off. "Just admit it."
Y/n sighed and closed the book on her hand, revealing the shinning reflection of the golden title. 'Tales of the Battle' was what written on the cover. She stood up and took her bag, ready to leave. "I have other jobs to do," Y/n excused herself. "Thanks for your offer."
As she was about to turn her heels and made her step, a hand caught her wrist before she could even make the run for it. She gazed一no, glared at the man, demanding him to let go. But of course he didn't do it.
Her eyes slowly turned colder and colder by the second.
Unlike her cold and shivering e/c, Kaeya's eyes were still the same, patient but playful. "We can get to know each other by doing this, am I right? Who knows what kind of fate will we encounter."
It didn't faze her, but only earning a small sarcastic comment in her own thought, 'Wow, how smooth.'
She yanked his hand to the other side. "Sir, I heard a lot of rumors about you. I once thought you were a different person. Now that I've seen it with my own eyes, I'm utterly disappointed."
"Dissapointed?" He repeated playfully, earning a cold smirk from the h/c girl before she was about to leave the man alone. Yet, again, it was stopped by the sudden movement. She felt the sudden force that pulled her back.
Kaeya's deep gaze was staring into her, as if there's something in her soul that he wanted. Her hands trailed to her blade incase he would attack her.
"We can re-introduce each other. I'm Ka—"
