They are currently watching the sunset at the veranda of the restaurant where they are having a reunion with their closest friends.
Newwiee is leaning on the railings, his arms rested on it as he watches the orange colored horizon.
"I'm fine. Just reminiscing.", the bulky fair-skinned guy replied, turning his gaze towards Tay.
"I see.", he responded, leaning on the railings as well, staring into the beautiful sunset.
"What are you reminiscing about?", he casually asked.
Newwiee faces Tay, smiling timidly.
"About us and how far we've come.", he answered.
"Yeah. It's been years. Almost 10 years, right?", Tay replied, unconsciously reminiscing too.
"Hmm..", Newwiee answered, now leaning his back against the railings, staring on his feet.
"Did you have any regrets?", Tay asked, glancing at New.
"Not really. Just a what if though.", he answered, brushing his hair up with his fingers.
"Oh. Care to share?", the dashing actor asked.
"What if.. I haven't been so stubborn? And paid attention to your feelings right away? I shouldn't have looked too far when you were just always beside me.", New uttered, gazing at Tay.
"Idiot.", Tay chuckled, shaking his head.
"Then we won't be happy today if it wasn't that way.", he continued, grinning then gazes back into the horizon.
"Right.", Newwiee replied, chuckling.
He faced the sunset again, taking a deep breath and letting out a subtle sigh.
"I'm happy for you, Te.", New said in a sincere voice, glancing at Tay with a timid smile.
"Thanks, Hin.. I am happy for you too.", the latter responded, looking shy.
They raised their glasses and had a toast in mid air, gazing fondly at each other then averted each other's gaze right away while they sip on their drinks.
"I'm heading back in. Come join us.", Tay uttered as he turns to leave.
"Alright. I'll be right there in a sec.", he said, watching Tay walking away.
Newwiee glances at the sun which seemed to be being sucked in by the darkness, still in a nostalgic mood.
Tay peeked out again and waved at him.
"Hey, New.. Your fiance is looking for you. Come in here.", he called out to him, smiling widely.
"Alright.", New responded as he walks towards Tay and the rest of their friends who are celebrating a wedding anniversary.
"It's a long time ago.. And you have already moved on before I realized that I have already learned to love you.. Happy 2nd Anniversary to you and your wife, my bestfriend..", he thought to himself, putting on the warmest smile as he faced everyone.
