Adam - first meeting

Okay, so I know this is yet another one but lockdown really made me not want to write anything and after watching the Wales game I had this idea.

Absolutely gutted about the injuries to Finn and Adam, thankfully we have a few players that can play at 10, but lets just hope it won't too badly effect us. Hopefully they both recover soon and will be alright!

I'm open to requests with prompts and players if anyone wants anything specific and to try and get me back in to writing some more.

And can someone else write some Adam, Ali or Blair stuff that I can read? That'd be great thanks.

The first time you met Adam, you were actually just starting a new job at BT Murrayfield. It was one of the Scotland open training session. It was a great day to shadow one of your colleagues, as the events team were pretty busy but nowhere near as busy as they would be if it was a match day.

You had gotten there early to meet the colleague, Chloe, who you would be shadowing for the day, and for her to give you a quick tour of the stadium. She starts off by showing you the office space that you would be working in and letting you frop your bag off. Then you walk down towards the pitches and start the tour of the grounds before people start to show up.

It was as you were walking towards the training pitches outside of the stadium that you heard someone whistling. Chloe turned around and stopped, a smile on her face. As you stoped and turned as well, you heard someone call out "looking good this morning ladies". A small blush crept across your face.

"Good morning Adam" Chloe replied, her smile wide but rolling her eyes at the same time as he strolled up to you both. "Meet y/n, our new rookie"

He was in his training uniform and you were left a little breathless. Not wanting to seem like you're staring you smile move your hair from your face. He steps toward you, his hand outstretched. You take it, shaking his hand "nice to meet you y/n" he said with a wink.

You nearly swooned then, but managed to reply "You too, Adam"

"Aren't you late?" Chloe said after checking her phone, just as a whistle rang out from the pitches ahead.

"Shit, yeah. Gotta run ladies!" He called back as he jogged off towards the team. You couldn't help but watch him as he went.

"Be careful" Chloe said quietly, as she turned to continue the tour "all the single ones are huge flirts." From the training pitches she shows you to the changing rooms and the tunnels and then where everything is kept for the pre-match entertainment. As she's showing you, your mind starts to swim with memories from the years spent as a cadet. Lunch times in the changing rooms, that time you accidentally left your bag and didn't realise until the teams were arriving - that was a scary one. You remember thinking your commanding officer was going to give you a bollocking for that one, but the Murrayfield staff were really nice about it despite having to rush. At least you were able to see the players going in.

And of course, your proudest cadet moment, when you were the banner bearer for Scotland and were in the tunnel infront of the teams. Those pre-match entertainment sessions was definitely what ignited the passion for the game and, untimitely, was what brought you to that job. You couldn't help but feel nostalgic as you passed through the grounds, but then you were taken into unfamiliar territory, the office and conference spaces within the stadium.

After your ID badge was printed, you and Chloe walked down to the pitch again for supporters to start arriving. You were really just able to stand back and watch the players training, but were keeping an eye on the crowd and making sure everything was going okay. Your eyes followed Adam, no matter how much you tried to focus on the other players as well you were always drawn back to him. They all looked so happy and in their element. You don't even know where the time went, but suddenly the crowd were cheering as the players started to walk towards the boundaries. Adam caught your eye, smiling as he gave you a wave.

You had to stay until they were done and all of the supporters had left, but then you were free to go.

After taking a walk back to the office to grab your bag, you headed out. On your way out of the stadium, you saw a small group of guys hanging around the car park. "Y/n, over hear! Come meet the others." You heard Adam's voice call over the group. A little embarrased, you walk towards them. He introduces you to Ali Price, Jamie Ritchie, Zander Fagerson, and Hamish Watson. "I'd love to talk more, but I'm actually going to miss my bus if I don't head now" there was a hint of sadness in your voice. You'd really like to get to know them all better, but Adam offers to walk you to your bus stop and you gladly accept.

The walk to the bus stop is a little awkward, but you both try your best to keep a conversation going. "This is my stop" you say as you stop at the side of the road, checking your phone for the next bus time. "2 minutes" you say "thanks for walking me" you smile.

"No problem" he replies. "Ehm, y/, this might be a bit awkward but uhm...would you like to grab dinner some time?" he asks, for the first time you hear a bit of shyness in his voice as he rubs his neck.

"Yes, I'd like that" you reply, a smile on your face. Beaming, he pulls you in for a hug. His arms squeezing you tightly. You realised your head only came up to his chest and giggled a little. He gives you his unlocked phone when he pulls away. After entering your number, just as your bus pulls around the corner, he gives you a small peck on the cheek.

"I'll give you a call, get home safe" he says.

"I look forward to it" you reply as you step on the bus "see you later".

Taking your seat, you pull out your phone and give your best friend a call. Telling her everything that happened.

"Oh wow, he's hot!" she exclaims, clearly having looked him up.
