Jason smiled widely, already thinking of a way to get rid of her if she tries anything. "Join me?"
"Yes. You let us in on your Last Light plan and I won't destroy you."
The words had only caused her to laugh. "Destroy me? You?"
Jason rolled his eyes, glaring at the witch. "She's the Chosen One. She's more powerful than you. I thought a Council member would know that."
"A young, untrained, goody-two-shows Chosen One against a slightly-older, expert evil Council member?" Desdemona walked closer, to be threatening. "Bring it on!"
