the myrtle trees fade to be, the colours of daybreak start to flee;
the search for aphrodite in such a barren land continues; tragic skies hidden in enigmatic rearviews;
a catastrophic madman stuck on a desolate land is a lethal affair you won't understand,
a roaring stillness and a thirst for voices other than his own; painfully strained, deliriously alone.

a melancholic realm, he walks himself miles for some sense;
screeches only get you so far and after a few moments your throat has scars,
he has silted speech, he is unable to speak;
the myrtle trees are fading in his memories,
because a catastrophic madman stuck on a desolate land is a lethal affair you won't understand.

Ali, you're not a madman like they want you to be, just a lost boy stuck in some bad dreams,
i know there's fear laced in your agony and it's tormenting when you try to talk- so like any other boy, you choose to be lost.

Ali, you don't have to do this alone, it's hard and trust me, i know;
but perhaps if you take a single breath, let your scars get better, get yourself some rest,
and whisper your way out of a black and white world, myrtle trees are patiently awaiting your return.

Ali, you're not a catastrophic madman stuck on some desolate land, it's a lethal affair but i promise, i understand.

a/n : I wrote this poetry as an elaborated metaphor for loneliness, the trouble with opening up, the fear of losing your sanity, the voices in your head that don't stop and the painfully strenuous attempts to find your own voice.

Note : myrtle and aphrodite are mentioned here in relation to the feeling of peace (here : peace that is fading away) and love. And the 'myrtle trees fade to be' also because they lose their leaves in winter, shedding and letting go.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed.
