Third person POV
Snape sat his his desk in his chambers alone. His dress robes unbuttoned so that his neck was revealed, no more no little. The air was thick and lonely. For he wished the presence of a certain someone was there with him. To make the air light, to let him feel that he wasn't alone and that everything was okay. Snape found himself like this often. Needing the joyous presence of Her. Before Her, he was used to the thick loneliness of his mind. He was used to having only himself to keep him company, only himself to care for...
Third person POV
Alexandria sat in her common room in her pajamas with tiered eyes. The time was 8:45, dinner would be over soon and students would come flooding to their dorms from the Great Hall. It wasn't often that she would skip dinner, but sometimes she enjoyed her own presence and a good book to curl up with. But unfortunately, she felt she wasn't enjoying herself like she always did. She felt she needed a certain raven haired, hook nosed professor to accompany her in her reading. And with that she got up and made her way to professor Snape's chambers. Alexandria thought very highly for Snape. Ever since she came back to Hogwarts for her final year, she also made it the year to get closer to Severus. She didn't know why she liked him for half (almost the whole) school hated him. But she never did, only when he gave them pop test that were a third of their grade. But even then Alexandria still saw a beautiful soul behind his mask. Behind the wall he spent so long building. Somehow she would be the one to knock that wall down. She was the only one who wanted to, she was the only one who cared so deeply for him in such a long time. And Severus didn't mind.
Alexandria POV
I made it to Snape's chambers, fortunately before students had made it back to the Slytherin common room. I knocked twice at the big wooden door.
"Come in..." I heard a velvety monotone voice say. How much I loved that sound, I love it so much words couldn't express.
I slid in the room and closed the door behind me. Snape sat at his desk with his hand over the bridge of his nose.
"Hello professor" I said as I walked towards his desk and made a halt, just then he looked up at me. The long frown from his face slightly faded into a curve at the side of his lips. It was almost a smile, but he wasn't keen on those either.
"Ah Alexandria..." He looked at me up and own probably because I was in my pajamas and he must've thought I came from dinner.
"I haven't come from dinner, just from the common room." I said.
"Mm... you weren't hungry?" I shook my head no. " Well then, what brings you here" he asked curiously.
"Just to see you... maybe have a chat" I smiled.
"Oh well your welcome to stay for a bit as I don't have much more work to finish" he replied.
I looked at him with bright eyes and we stared at each other for only a few seconds before I broke the silence.
"Are you okay professor, you look tired." I mentioned. I noticed the fresh bags under his eyes and the gloomy express on his face which he tried to cover.
"Yes yes I'm fine, but what's new, as a professor there will always be insolent children to lecture and papers to grade." He went on and finished with a hearty but small chuckle. The souls of his chuckles were like music to my ears and sent shivers down my spine. Or maybe the shivers were from the low temperature of these chambers. It was like 30 degrees in here and I had forgotten to bring a sweater.
"How can you work in such cold temperatures , I'd be lucky to make it out of here without hyperthermia" I giggle as I walked over to the coffee table to set my book down.
Snape looked at me and actually smiled. How handsome he was, he looked almost comfortable with a few of his robe buttons undone.
"I find the cold temperatures help me concentrate, some tea might help. Would you like some?" He asked a s he stood up and waited for an answer.
I nodded in agreement and he walked off into a small kitchen.
"There should be a small throw blanket on the couch if needed." He muttered from the kitchen.
Alexandria walked over towards the velvety green couch and saw no throw. She was getting to be very cold and all she saw was Snape's cloak which he loved to strut around in. She found it quite amusing when he walked as if he was in a runway, though she would never admit that to him. She was left with no choice. She picked it up and wrapped it around herself. The scent of fresh rain, black leather and books flooded her nose as she inhaled. Of course the cloak was a bit big but it made for a better strut. Alexandria started to swish and flick the ends of the cloak around the room.
Snape POV
The tea is about ready, "I wonder if she would like sugar" I thought to myself. Just then I was shaken out of my thought by the small beautiful sounds of Her giggles. "Mmmh... surely I hadn't left her with a joke to dwell on" I mumbled under my breath. And as I walked out my kitchen I couldn't believe my eyes. She had taken my cloak for a spin around the room. How adorable... she is much too small for it...even cuter.
"Hmm hmm" I cleared my throat, " I hope I'm not interrupting anything".
She looked at me and a very apparent blush formed and her face. She was in pure shock but then broke in to the most gorgeous laughter in the world.
I made my way over to her and gave a cup while she sat on the couch, and I sat with her.
"Now I know why you love to strut in this thing, it's very fun." She said while catching her breath.
"Yes yes... Wait did you just say I strut?" I questioned and she broke out into more laughter and I followed with a deep chuckle. How I wish I could spend the rest of my days with my ears filled with that beautiful laugh...
Alexandria POV
We talked about the book I was reading and spoke about potions for a few while we drank our tea. I love spendings my time talking with Severus, it makes me feel like nothing else matters when it's me and him, he knows how to make me feel like I'm the only other person in the world.
Snape had just finished his sentence about some old potions book when I let out a soft yawn while placing my now empty cup down.
"I had no idea my story was boring you so much..." Snape smirked. It was now 10:45, almost passed curfew. I had spent almost 3 hours with this man yet I would never get bored of hearing his deep voice and looking at his handsome face.
"NO NO! It's not boring I just..." I paused and thought myself.
"Yes" he said quietly.
I slowly looked up at him and looked away. I then scooted closer to him and laid my head on his upper chest. I could feel him tense up for a second and then let go. He rested his hand gently on my head and played with my hair.
"May you read to me" I asked while sliding my hands around his torso.
He hummed in response and carefully levitated a book to us. I don't remember the story but it's was some classic. I do, however, remember the feeling of his heartbeat and slender fingers wrapping around my loose curls. Then we drifted to a magical land of sleep.
