Last time, on Indigo Horizon!
In arc one, we followed three Preso City teens during the most important week of their young lives. How Eren, Davy, and Joost performed in the Promotion Exam would decide whether they joined the elite ranks of the Militaria, or were doomed to scrapping crystals for the rest of their days.
Eren Lastame, originally from Border Town, had her eyes on a different prize. Earning a spot on the National Treball team would guarantee her a good life, and just maybe, a chance at saving the people she left behind. Eren did her part, outperforming any who challenged her, yet the power structures at play, not to mention her bad attitude, meant she was no closer to joining the team than when she had arrived in the city. One stolen guard cycle later, and Eren has her sights set on a new city.
For Davy Ortega, it was a final shot at redemption. The exiled son of the military's commander, Davy studied as much as he could to regain his fathers approval. Every day he toiled, fighting against the cities common affliction, 'brain fog', to complete multiple practice exams, yet he improved little. Davy managed to take the exam despite explosions, terror strikes, and angry mobs, but before he could find out whether or not he passed he had to make a decision; join Eren, leaving his home and last chance behind, or say goodbye to the only friend he had ever known.
Joost, well, Joost had no such delusions of grandeur. Having given up on his chance at high society, Joost had already begun working with a tradesman in the gloam scrapping industry. It was only when the mysterious Man in White came into the picture that things got tiresome. A broken foot miraculously healed, as well as a cryptic note pinned to his chest prompted the skeptical young man toward a chance meeting. A dangerous octagonal device thrust upon him, Joost was running for his life from the street gang he had stolen from once too many times before two of his most hated classmates came to his aid.
Cornered by gang members and Militaria soldiers, the unlikely trio of Eren, Davy, and Joost blew the gates off Preso City. Using a stolen guard cycle, they shot past the city walls and find themselves in the beautiful and deadly landscape of the Turtle Shell Prairie. Now our heros have left the only home they have ever known, chasing an uncertain future.
Find out what happens next in this action packed second entry in the Indigo Horizon series. New characters, new dangers, and many more mysteries are revealed in Arc 2: Turtle Prairie Gospel!
