Chapter 1: The Sinking Ship

Rose's POV:

I stared into the deep abyss of water as I rode the Titanic all the way down to the deep icy waters. I held onto the bars tight, while Jack held me closely, watching the people fall from the bars broke my heart. I looked away not being about to bare it. But I had to, I had to survive for me and for Jack. "The ship is going to suck us down, take a deep breathe when I say!" Jack told me with a stern voice. I nodded to his command and braced for impact. Jack and I stared down while the ship was falling. "Do not let go of my hand!" Jack told me. I whimpered and nodded my head. "We're going to make it Rose! Trust me." Jack turned his head to me while we got closer to the water. "I trust you!" I said in confidence hoping my fear didn't show. The Titanic was sinking and it was sinking fast. The ship blazed down and water splashed onto the sides. "Ready? Ready? Now!" Jack yelled. We both took very deep breathes and then the water hit our bodies. The feeling was despairing, crucial, horrible. Jack and I tried to stay together but the force was to strong to keep up with. We were separated from each other and I couldn't bring myself up from the water.
I wondered, Should I just give up? Should I just let the water take me and let me be in peace? No. I can't. I need to fight for life, I need to fight for me, I need to fight for the love of my life. I managed to gather the strength and swam my way up. "Rose!" Jack called from somewhere. "Jack!" I screamed. The amount of people in the water was overwhelming and I couldn't see Jack at all. "Rose!" Jack continued to yell. "Jack!" I screamed. "Rose!" Jack yelled. "Jac-" I tried to scream before being pushed under the water. I struggled to push the man away. I screamed and barley made my way up to the surface. Jack had punched the man who almost made me drown. Jack and I managed to get over to a wooden door floating in the water.  
"Here," Jack said while pulling it closer. "Here, get on this." Jack told me. I attempted to get onto the board and when Jack did the board flipped over. "Stay on the board Rose." Jack told me while scooting over to the edge. I could tell that him hanging there would kill him. "No. You jump I jump. Remember?" I protested. Jack turned his head away from me. I knew he wouldn't get on the board if it meant me staying alive. "Jack." I said stern. He shook his head and tried to get onto the board with me. The board was big enough for the both of us to lay flat with our knees bent. "See, we both fit." I snickered. He pulled me closer to him. His breathe tingled on my neck. Though, Jack's body heat couldn't overpower the cold. We laid there staring at the stars and each other.
Every once and a while, I'd hear the jingle of his broken handcuffs from when Cal "arrested" him for theft of the Heart of the Ocean. It's crazy, only in the matter of 5 days, I was saved in every way a person could be saved. Jack had fallen asleep. He was breathing but it was shallow. "Come about!" Some crewmen yelled from a boat, "Jack, Jack wake up." I said while shaking him. "Maybe we were too late." A crewman said while looking down at the bodies. "Keep looking." Another man commanded. I looked back and waved my hand trying to catch their attention. "Do you see something moving?" One of the crewmen asked.
"Come about!" Another yelled again. I continued to shake Jack to wake him. I tried to yell back but my voice was strained. Jack had awoken and realized there was a boat. "Rose!" He shook me with glee. I smiled and starting laughing softly. "I repeat, come about!" A crewman yelled. "We're over here!" Jack and I tried to yell while shaking our hands. A crewman pointed his flashlight directly towards us and saw our movement. "Over there!" A crewman yelled. They had rowed their boat over to us and helped us get onto it. Jack shuddered slightly and hugged me right. We survived.

Well look at that! Jack survived and their on their way to a fresh start!
