Rosewater Eyes (Hisoka x Reader) Oneshot

An x Interesting x Exam

Y/N walked into the dark tunnel, slightly out of breath. The previous trials she had endured left her a bit jarred, but she held her composure. Only when she felt other peoples eyes on her did she take a second to assess her surroundings.

It was a damp, cold room. The walls and floors were made of stone, that showed obvious signs of weathering. She took notice of the large metal garage door that cut off the tunnel.

She looked around a bit further, only meeting disappointment. She had hoped she'd find some interesting people there, someone to peak her interest during the duration of the exam. She had seen no one, until she heard a shriek.

"My my,~" Y/N snapped her head around violently at the cunning voice. She took in the insane sight before her. A man was howling in pain, his arms turning into fluttering flower petals. She blanched at the sight, but the thing that put her over the edge was the aura creeping around the tunnel.

"it seems this mans arms have turned into flower petals. Now you see them, now you don't.~"

The room collectively held their breaths. No one said anything as the mans violent aura swept throughout the room, crawling over everyone skin. The aura spewed into every crevice, as if it were searching for something. It kept on until it found what it was looking for. A new toy.

Y/N trembled. She had seen her fair share of auras and bloodlusts. What was so different about this one? What made this one so out of control, and so unreadable?

She continued to tremble even after the aura had been concealed once more. She tried to calm herself down, commanding deep breaths and a steady composure. No one could see her vulnerable. But it seemed it was too late for one person.

Y/N felt him even before he started walking over to her. His aura had been concealed, but Y/N knew that his bloodlust behind it was far from gone. She looked up, into a strange mans eyes.

They were amber, the color of a warm pot of honey or golden weat in the summer. The mans eyes held so much emotion, yet she could sense none of it.

Holding back a stutter, Y/N spat out "Who the hell do you think you are you creep?" She generally wasn't so rude from the start, but something told her she only had one chance to get rid of this guy.

"I suppose I have yet to introduce myself," The man said with a sickening grin. "My name is Hisoka Amorou. And you are~?"

Y/N stared back at him in disbelief. She had never met someone who acted in such a strange way. Normally, someone like this would have captivated her. Enticed her into learning more about them, everything she could. But this man felt different. Or perhaps, it was the lack of what she was able to feel with him.

"And why should I tell you my name after what you just did?" Y/N shot at him.

"Ah, I see.~" Hisoka said, a sickly sweet grin sliding up his face. "You must be well rounded in the use of nen. I have to say, I didn't expect any nen users to be here.~"

Y/N rolled her eyes, earning a look of slight surprise from Hisoka. "You need to lay off before I handle you myself. I don't like nosy people, Hisoka."

She closed her eyes in annoyance and was about to spit out another insult before she felt the wind get knocked out of her.

"H- Hey, what the hell?!?"

She opened her eyes to Hisoka, mere inches away from her face. He had both of her arms pinned over her head with one hand.

She struggled, attempting to break loose from the mans strong arms. She quickly realized that Hisoka was stronger than any chain she had ever broken from.

"Oh no, struggle more.~" Hisoka said suggestively. "Do show me how strong you are, my love."

Y/N stifled a scream. She began to throw all sorts of vulgar language at Hisoka. No matter what she did, he held her firmly against the cold wall. Y/N let out an exasperated gasp. She was about to give up when a loud clattering began, diverting Hisoka's attention for a mere second. Enough from her to slip from his grasp and run.
