"Hey, Kakashi-sensei! What are you doing here?" Ino smiled at him from the counter.

"Buying flowers."

"For Iruka-sensei?" Ino smirked. Kakashi felt his cheeks go a bit red.

"How'd you know?"

"My beautiful pink-haired best friend told me~!"

Damnit Sakura, this is why I barely train you.

"Now, Iruka-sensei needs a meaningful bouquet so I'm going to help you! What are a few good traits you can name about him right off the bat?"

"He's kind, honest, a bit sneaky, smart, and outrageously handsome."

"Well, the flower that represents kindness is an anthurium! And daffodils mean honesty! For sneaky, we can put blue roses which mean mystery and for good measure and looks a white rose that means innocence. A clematis means clever and a iris means wise so we need a bit for those both and finally, beauty! A few calla lilies should do the trick, along with a few yellow tulips that mean cheerfulness!" Ino skipped around, putting flowers into a bouquet and decorating them so they looked good.

"You seem to have put a lot of previous thought into it." Kakashi hummed.

"I've been waiting for the day somebody goes and proclaims their love to Iruka-sensei! He sure deserves a break, he works so hard! Oh, it's so romantic!" Ino sighed and spun around.

"Er.. I don't think I'm ready to say it to his face yet? I was thinking of dropping it off on his desk." Kakashi laughed nervously at the mere thought of confessing to Iruka.

Ino smiled and picked up a chrysanthemum "This flower means secret admirer! He'll love this bouquet!"

Kakashi smiled and paid for the flowers before heading off to the Academy. He made sure to take the rooftops so nobody could see him with the flowers. The last thing he needed was somebody telling Iruka he gave him the flowers.

He arrived at the Academy, walking up the side of the building and climbing into Iruka's classroom through the unlocked window. He set the flowers on the desk and hopped out the window and disappeared before anybody could see him.

- Iruka's Point of View -

Iruka yawned, he had just gotten off mission desk duty.

'I need to get to class before I'm late.'  Iruka thought as he picked up the pace.

When he slid open his classroom door, he was surprised to see Naruto standing there, feeding a small bunny in his arms a flower. There were flower stems in his's wastebasket and a special Yamanaka Shop Ribbon.

"Oh-! Hello Naruto!" Iruka smiled and waved "Why do you have a bunny in my classroom?"

"I wanted to show you him, dattebayo! His name is Hops and he likes flowers, see? Ino helped me pick out flowers he could eat! I wanted to show you him 'cause you're a lot like a bunny!"

"I am?"

"You're nice and huggable and can be a troublemaker but nobody can stay mad at you, dattebayo." Naruto smiled.

Iruka flushed "Thanks, I guess?"

He walked over and petted the bunny. "It's very cute."

"Thanks! I wanna show Konomaru too, and I could help you with your class dattebayo!"

"Really? Thanks Naruto."

"No problem!"

- Back to Kakashi's Point of View, About a Week Later -

'Iruka hasn't said anything, and if he got them, then there would be rumors floating around already.' Kakashi thought.

He poofed up at the meeting site, where Sakura, Naruto, and Sasuke were angrily waiting.

"Good morning." He smiled.

"You seem happy." Sakura grumbled. "Please tell me this time you were late because you were confessing to Iruka-sensei?"

"I gave him flowers about a week ago, but I'm not sure he got them." Kakashi scratched his head "I know they were in his classroom."

Sasuke froze and he turned to Naruto "Didn't you help Iruka-sensei and his class a week ago?"

Naruto grinned "Mhm!"

"And you took Choji's bunny with you. The one you also were babysitting on the same day. The one who loves to eat flowers-. Wait-"

Kakashi's one visible eye widened. Did Naruto feed the flowers to Choji's rabbit? Seriously?

"You've got to be shitting me." Kakashi groaned.

Naruto smiled "If it makes you feel better, Hops liked the flowers."

'Do you every just wanna 🧒🤛 a kid?'  Kakashi thought angrily. 'How DARE he. Tsunade will hear about this.'

That day, Kakashi made Team 7 do swimming activities all day, and he might have sabotaged the whole thing with a few jutsu so that it took all day, but who could blame him?

'This means war.'  Kakashi thought bitterly as he trudged home. 'I can't believe this little shi- gremlin. I blame Obito for this horrible luck streak.'

That at exact moment, Tobi sneezed so hard he set off a bunch of paper bombs and blew up the entire Akatsuki hideout.

"GODDAMNIT TOBI!"

Kakashi heard a distant explosion but he shrugged it off.
