Worldwide the estimated number of animal testing from zebra fish to non-human primates ranges from tens of millions to hundreds of millions used annually. All those animals are being used to test new drugs and medication. I think it's cruel, we cannot rely on that information to predict the effects on humans, the cons are far larger than the pros, and that animals have the right not to be tested on.

When they test drugs on animals they test the same thing on many animals at a time meaning if the drug was is harmful or deadly, not only one animal dies or gets seriously sick, perhaps hundreds. It's claimed that no animals are hurt in tests, but how are we sure. Not all scientists are alike. Some of them keep the animals in cramped cages with little or no food, animals can't speak, how are the scientists to know the level of pain there in?

We don't experiment on humans without consent nor do we experiment on those incapable of giving such. A broad majority of experiments are so prying and abusive that the very notion of someone willing to subject themselves to such treatment is idiotic, never the less unlawful the fact that we allow this to happen with such disregard to the animals rights has been referred by some as speciesism .

Millions of animals are kille

d around the world for food, but at least they weren't tortured for months being experimented on. I think anyone would rather die in one shot then being poked by needles, injected by chemicals and stuck in a cage for what feels like forever. Most animals are euthanized after being experimented on. Ultimately the statement "no animals were harmed in these series of experiments" is quite tongue in cheek and at the least misleading.
