Cracking On
I made my way out to the villa to see what everyone else was up to. Jasper was over by the sun loungers drinking his coffee. I poured myself a cup and headed over to join in.
I sat down on the lounger next to him and said, "Morning babe, how are you feeling about us this morning?"
He sighed, turned to face me and replied, "honestly, I don't know. It feels like we're both not really into it. I get a feeling you're looking elsewhere, and I'm sure you've noticed my eyes wandering. It's like we said last night, we have the sexual chemistry, but I think that's it. I can tell you're a great girl, you're different from the others..in a good way, but I'm just not sure if you're my type and I don't think I'm yours either."
He was right, but I didn't know how to handle our situation. I placed my hand on his leg and said, "look Jasper, I chose you for a reason, I thought we could have something, but you're right, the spark just isn't there emotionally..physically though"....I paused and moved my hand closer towards his swim trunks..."I want to jump onto this lounger with you and go to town. But if you'd rather keep it friendly and just be mates, I'm cool with that."
He shuddered at my touch, and his cheeks flushed red. His hand reached for my face, like he was pulling me towards his soft lips, but then he stopped and said, "You're making it really hard ya know, especially with how sexy that bikini is...but I think it's best we friend zone whatever this is before we get ahead of ourselves."
I sighed and nodded, "ya, you're right this isn't lust island..it's love island."
He kissed my forehead and walked away. I couldn't deny that I was a little upset about being friendzoned this early in the game. I was hoping Jasper would be up for having a little fun, but he was right if we went too far and let our physical chemistry take over then we might lose our heads and start thinking with our bits rather than our hearts.
I wandered over to the pool area next, Talia was there dangling her feet in the water.
"Alright Babes?" she said.
"Ya, all good. Just not sure that Jasper and I are right for each other. It's more a physical attraction, if ya know what I mean"
She put her hand on my shoulder and said, "If you aren't feeling it babes, just start working on someone else."
"Ya, you're right. The thing is though, I don't want to step on any one's toes, and well, besides Jasper, I guess I didn't really feel much attraction towards the other guys. But enough about me, how are things with you and Jake?"
I felt bad that I was asking for the wrong reasons, I wanted to know what was going on with them so I could decide if I wanted to crack on with him or just keep a low profile until someone new I hopefully fancied came in.
"Ya know, I'm not one hundred percent. Physically, he's my type on paper, and like, personality wise, it's all there. He's got the charm, he's not too loud.."
"But something about it isn't quite right? Sounds like you're in a similar situation as Jasper and me. "
"Yeah...i guess I am. I don't know I just feel like maybe he's not as into me as I thought he was and vise versa. I think we both have our eye on someone else." She sighed while laying down and throwing her arm back.
I took that and she was done talking and headed off to the kitchen to refill my water bottle. But what was she talking about? Was she talking about me, did Jake and Talia both fancy me? As I was refilling it, Levi wandered over.
"Alright?" he said.
"Yeah, I'm all good you?"
He nodded, "yeah, just getting into the swing of things." He looked at me and raised an eyebrow. "That's an amazing outfit, you look incredible. I wonder what we've got in store today?"
