The moonlight seemed so bright at this time of night, while the waves softly crashed the ocean side and the sun setting. Staring out at the water, I wonder to myself how far it could go, how far I could go, but some of me doesn't, part of me begs to not find out, to not search for what it is I want. In the distance, I hear the faint voice, singing? I ask myself. As I walk closer to the ocean water, I slip my shoes off and run out feeling the warm sand between my feet, leaving everything I had behind me. I pray for a good day. Stopping a few feet away, I slipped my feet into the cold ocean water where the line of sand ends and floats into the water. A voice in my head pops out of nowhere, "The weapon may be formed but will not prosper." What the heck does that mean? wondering out of the blue where it even came from. I slowly make my way into the water deeper. 'I don't hold a weapon...Am I being hurt?' I still wondered why I had that one line spoken to me in my head. 'Was someone being hurt' I looked down at my feet, the water had made its way up to my waist. I think about all of the friends I have back home, boy how I miss them, especially the one I still like. 'The boy of my dreams' I call him, no no I'm kidding, he's a nice guy though, but I consider him a pretty close friend. But he's not something I need to worry about. I was lost in my thought when a big wave goes by and almost throws me off balance, 'I guess the ocean isn't having it today' Before deciding to go back to the shore, I think of my friend Bella, Is that what the line is referring too? I mean Bella was going through a pretty bad time, but it's nothing I could deal with because she has seemed to go her way without me anymore, but it's still possible, I just hope she doesn't hurt herself that bad. Walking up to the house, I glance back to the ocean, 'man I wish I knew' thinking about much I wish to know about how my friends feel. I head inside, slowly opening the door, I hear my mom talking on the phone, she sounds upset. I crept inside and past the room my mom is in, as I start down the stairs, I listen. "What do you mean? In an angry voice, "I paid for it last week!" Politics, boring! I walk into my room right as my phone goes off. I put my shoes on the floor, picking up my phone, "Oh boy... not another fight" I threw my phone back onto the bed. A few hours later, looking at the time, "Mom I'm leaving, I'll be back at 10" "No minute later!" Grinning, "Don't worry about it!" "Oh but I do" and with that said, I close the front door and make my way out into the darkness of the night.

As I make my way back to the beach. I wonder what tonight is going to be like, even though I am no longer in the home town I have still been able to make some new friends, but I still long for the day that I go back home. I scroll through my phone looking at the pictures of me and my friends back home, just as I scroll past a picture of me and Sky when my phone rings. I press the green button and speak into the phone. "Hello?" "Bruh where are you?! We are about to start singing songs!" I almost laugh as she says this. "Haha, yeah yeah, I'm almost there Ivy," I tell her and I start walking towards the light of the fire from the end of the beach. Ivy is one of my best friends who I met a few days into summer, she was the first one to say hi and it was awesome, even though I still ever so much miss my hometown friends, being with my new friends here has made it easier. The first time I met her was at the beach in Hawaii because that's where we are. I look up to see Noah, one of the other friends in Ivy's friend group, who I just met as of yesterday, had tagged along with a few others. I walk up to the group and wave, "Hey guys, sorry I'm late." I say with a straight voice. Ivy notices my weary voice, she gives me a little punch in the arm, "Don't worry about it." I nod with a smile. Everyone is so different here so it has taken me a while to get used to my new friends. Noah hands me a bag, "Thanks?..." I say looking into the bag where I find a bunch of candy bars and treats. "No problem, everyone got one." He smiles sitting back down on the log he and a few others were sitting on. "So, who brought their swimsuit?" The girl with the long brown hair says out of nowhere. "Well all of us, duhh" Ivy says with a grin. I look at the sand that's at my feet, "actually I may have forgotten to bring mine." I say in a low voice. "That's alright, You can run back and grab it cause your house is not that far away." Ella replies, "Yeah, I guess I could." I stand up and look at my watch, "I'll be back in a bit." I say waving to them all, "See ya!" They yell back at me. I make my way back to my house and leave the group behind me knowing that we'll have lots of fun when I get back.
