I went back to my apartment a few hours later. I couldn't face anyone, I didn't want to see anyone, I didn't want to talk to anyone, especially Charlie. That jerk.

"Where's Ella?" I ask Lauren.

She looked at me then sign, "She left.."

"What?" I exlaimed, eyes widened. "It's my fault." I started tearing up.

She came over to me and comforted me, "No it's not. It's okay."

"Whatever, she's a bitch. Forget her," she said.

"She's gonna come back and bite me in the ass," I mumbled.

Charlie's POV:

"Why didn't you tell me?" Charlie ask.

"I feel like Claire should be the one who told you. And she did," she replied.

"Now you know, Charlie. It's okay," Aiden said.

"You knew about this?" I ask him.

"Not really," he replies. "Charlotte kinda told me. Or.. actually, gave me hints."

"Ugh, I'm such an idiot. I shouldn't have done that to her."

I can't believe she dropped the baby. OUR baby.

Claire's POV:

I text Ella so many times. She wont answer me.

"I'm so sorry, Ella. Please, let's meet up and talk," I text her.

She never answered. I feel really bad. I don't blame her for being mad at me.

A few hours later...

I took a nap but woke up at the sound of my phone ringing.

I was really excited and hoping that it was Ella that was calling. Well.. it wasn't. It was an unknown number.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hello? Is this Claire Coutour?" the person on the phone asks.

"Yes, this is Claire. Who's this?"

"Can you come to the diner?"

"What diner?" I ask. "There's tons."

"The one you were at earlier," she replied.

"Oh... okay?" I said.

She hung up.

"Who was that? Was that Ella?" Lauren asks walking in my room with a bowl of mac and cheese.

"That wasn't Ella. It was some lady," I replied. "I'm heading out."

"To where?" she asks eating a spoonful of it.

"The diner. That lady wants to meet me there apparently."

"Don't go," she said, setting her bowl of mac and cheese on my desk. "She might be a serial killer."

"Um.. I kinda want somebody to kill me right now.. so.. I'mma go."

I left before she could say anything. I drove to the diner.

"Hey," a lady said to me. She look like she was in her mid-30's.

"Uh.. hi?" I said. She had a kid with her, a boy. He looked about 2 or 3.

"You're Claire, correct?" she asks.

"Yup, I'm Claire," I answered. "So, what's up? Who are you?"

"Let's go inside the diner and sit down."

We went inside and sat down at a booth.

"You don't recognize him?" she asks me.

"Huh? Recognize who?" I ask.

"Well.. I mean.. he looks like you."

"Who looks like me?" I ask. I was so confused.

"Alright.. this.. this is your son," she told me.

I was shocked. My eyes widened. "What?"

"He is your son. His name is Kayden. He's 3."

"Kayden?" I ask. "Impossible."

"It's possibile. You had twins. Your other son didn't make it," she told me. "Your mom knew about it and wanted to keep this away from you."

"My mom?" I said. "I had twins?"

She told me every single thing. I was done with all these secrets. I couldn't handle it anymore.

"You're lying, right?" I said. "All of this can't be true. There was blood." I felt a tear slid down my cheek.

"From your other son," she said. "Kayden survived."

"Aw, my baby boy, Kayden," I said reaching my arms across the table.

He said, "Mommy, who's this?"

"Kayden," Norah said (her name was Norah), "This is your birth mother. She is your real mom. I'm the one who raised you."

"She's my mommy?" he asks. He's so adorable.

"Yes Kayden. You're going to live with her now," she said.
