Sofia's POV

Friday, January 10, 2019

It all started with a bad dream

I shot up from my bed, sweating. I quickly glanced at the clock sitting on the table next to my bed, 6:50 a.m.

I rubbed my face, feeling the sweat coat my palm.

"Fuck" I grunted

I'll let this slide since I just woke up

I threw the blankets off and got out of bed heading to the bathroom. Not even bothering with the hot water I jumped in the shower.

I walked out of the bathroom, a towel wrapped around my body and my body and walked to my closet.

I picked out a band T-shirt wearing a black motorcycle jacket over it. I walked into the Kitchen and found my mom slouched on a stool with a plate of buttered French toast on the Island in front of her.

She had a newspaper on her left hand and a toast in her right.

"Morning Mom" I said and reached for a toast but she slapped my hand away. I glared at her, but she glared back using the same fury as me.

"Get your own toast" she stuffed another into her mouth.

I got most of my features from her. We both had big blue eyes, a sharp jawline, pink plump lips which made us look like we were wearing lipstick and our height were the same.

You would think she was my twin sister if not for my hair being black and hers grey from aging.

"Just for a toast?" I muttered to myself. I walked to the door hearing footsteps behind me. I angled my neck to see my mom settle down on the couch.

"Where do you think you're going young lady?" I stopped in my tracks.

I turned around with my heels "To school, where else?" I replied in a "duh" tone.

"In that?" She gestured her hand up and down me.

"Yeah" I checked my jacket for any stain for any stain "what's wrong with it?".

She sighed and stood up "It's like you want to be raped at this young age. Your not wearing pants, just a towel".

I looked down and saw she was right. My face flushed and I ran to my closet. I picked out a ripped jeans I bought last week and put it on.

I walked back to the Living room. Luckily, My mom left her toast on the couch, so I stuffed one in my mouth.

"I'm leaving now Mom" I yelled.

"Stay in school" she walked into the living room, wearing her usual Nurse's outfit. "No funny business like the last time".

"Whatever" I walked to the door but she yelled "wait".

"What?" I huffed.

She pulled me closer and kissed me on my forehead, "My little princess is now a senior"

"You've been saying that for the past four days" I murmured in her shoulder.

"Whatever, grumpy" she hugged me tighter.

"Mom, I'm going to be late"

"You still have an hour till first period, can't a mom hug her daughter for 5 minutes"

"Ughhhh" I grumbled.

After a long and emotional hug, actually only my mom was emotional, I finally reached our garage, I pressed the button by the edge of the door and it slowly opened.

In the back, supported by the green walls of the garage, my Lightning Ls- 218 Electric motorbike stood majestically.

Pause!!!!

Let me guess y'all were expecting a horse, a bicycle or a car but not a freaking Lightning Ls-218 Motorcycle. Well the antagonist likes her things fast and cool though she's a weird hot anti- social Nerd who's interested in things like cars and motorcycles. Sounds a lot like the author😂😂, but the author's a he and not a she.

Okay back to the story.

I walked over to my bike and patted the side gently.

"My baby" I whispered to the side "You missed me didn't you? Yes you did. I missed you too, oh yes I did-"

Okay, I might skip this part, who wants to hear an Eighteen year-old girl sweet talk her bike.

"You ready to roll" I threw my right leg over to the side. "Of course you are".

I reached for my backpack which was slouched on the side of the bike.

Don't judge her, Everyone has their own bad behaviors

I threw it over my shoulders and pressed a button on the bike. It started immediately.

"Okay let's go back to a torture named Highschool, Not after a quick stop at my favorite cafe" I put on a black helmet and revved the engine of the bike, then drove out of the garage.

Was it good? Did it lack the reading spirit? Is it better than my other books? By a long shot or just a lil'?
