Run Away Baby

Part 17

It was now Friday which not only meant it was my last day at work this week but it was the day of the girls night round at Oritse’s. I was actually quite looking forward to seeing all the girls as it had been a good week and a half since I saw them all last. Chloe had taken Tamzin off my hands for the day and was taking her round to JB’s farm for the day so she could see all the animals it was due to Chloe having Tamzin we had changed the location and was all meeting their instead of Oritse’s. I had been back just under a month and now JB and Marvin also knew I was back which made me feel in worse about Aston being left out. As much as I didn’t want to I knew that I needed to speak with him soon. I was just dreading it.
“Are you finished?” JB asks as he comes out of the studio that the JLS boys were working in, although I knew I needed to speak to Aston I do admit I had been avoiding him since he turned up at Oritse’s house unexpectedly.
“Yeah, I just need to go put the rubbish in the bins” I say gesturing to the 2 black bin bags I had in my hand.
“We’ll I’m done for the day so do you want a lift back to the farm since Chloe dropped you off earlier?” JB asks.
“If you don’t mind Jay that would be great.” I replied.
“Okay well I’ll meet you by the car? I just have to pop in and see our manager quickly” JB says. With that I pull the rubbish bags into the lift along with the cleaning bucket with everything I would need in it. I leave the cleaning bucket in the reception area whilst I go round the back to where the huge bins where.

Due to the time of year it was it was really dark outside, and there was no lighting right the back of the building so I grabbed my phone in one hand using the light as a torch. I’ve always been slightly paranoid about being in the dark I didn’t use to be but ever since I left I became slightly paranoid about it. I picked up the pace of my walking whilst I dragged the bin bags along quickly making it to the bin where I lifted the lids and hoisting up the rubbish bags and throwing them in before shutting the lids back up again. My phone buzzed in my hand so I looked down to see who had messaged me, but suddenly my phone got knocked out of my hand and my back was slammed against the side of the building. Fuck that hurt but I wasn’t going to let that show.
“Bet you didn’t expect to be seeing us again anytime soon” I heard a voice say.
“Nic?” I say surprised. Nicky or Nic was a member of the gang. She was one of my top members at the time we came in together at the same time and practically grew and trained together. So in a way it didn’t surprise me that she would end up taking over.
“Someone had to take over from where you left off” Nicky says.
“We’ve been watching you Serena. You and that brat of yours. You know we have a reputation and nobody just gets to leave the gang like that. You should know that you lead us for long enough Hell you even enforced the fucking rule and made punishments worse” She continues slamming a fist into my stomach winding me. But I was expecting it, even though I had a child I soon lost the small amount of baby weight I put on and toned myself back up. So much to Nicky’s dismay her punch didn’t affect me like she wanted it too. I quickly returned the favour slamming not just one of my fists but both of them straight into her stomach causing her to be winded slightly. Damn you would really think she would have learnt by now.
“Haven’t lost your touch then I see” She says after moment. “Just remember we’re always watching, and we’ll be seeing you shortly” Nic says before walking off around the back.

They had found me again…..
How could I have allowed for this to happen? How could I have been so stupid?
I knew I needed to do something but what? I only had a few options left, I either left taking Tamzin with me, face the consequences or keep Tamzin safe and leave on my own. I’m right back where I started.
“Serena?” I hear JB says as he approaches me.
“Sorry, I was struggling trying to get the lid up properly! Not always an advantage being short” I laughed. I didn’t want anyone knowing what had happened until I had decided on what I was going to do.
“Come on short stack, lets go home!” JB says laughing at me before we walk over to his car.
