Chapter 1: Summer 2021

Finally.

First, a throwback:

Summer 2020 was just basically staying at home. I had to take one summer class for Summer A and Summer C, so I will be on track with the classes for my two majors. I didn't travel that year due to what's happening with international waters. I spent my twenty-three indoors and had a video chat party with friends.

Fall 2020 for Ocean University was a hybrid of online and in-person. Things were weird. I forgot what people looked like?

The "ALL CLEAR" for the regular routines happened mid Fall 2020. Yes, just in time for the holidays, but nothing was the same.

As for #popcorn, we were able to have a Christmas party.

I say this because of how many people were crying.

Such a moment to remember

Spring 2021 flew by so fast. Ocean University was in-person. Classes felt longer since I am a Psychology and Communications double major.

I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up, but I only have four more semesters left until I graduate!

Now that I don't have to take summer classes this year... I'm a free woman.

So why am I spending my twenty-fourth with the beshies?

Why not?!

Since many of us work different schedules, we barely had time to hangout with the full twelve of us since Spring 2020. I know. It's been a minute.

Since there's like five of us born in the summer (May-August), we decided to have an amazing birthday bash for us.

We decided for the last week of June since there's like three of us born that week. I'm born early July, which is fine since I'm forever legal.

This bonding is something we all need.

*smooth waves ringtone starts to buzz*

"Hello," said Mel.

"This chick. Where ya at? We're outside," said Seah with excitement.

Seah Inered: How to describe her? Well, we met when we worked at #popcorn for the past three years. She's finally able to hangout with the squad. Super stoked.

Mel grabs her things for the Road to Down South Birthday Bash happening right now.

"Ah. I'm so excited!" Mel exclaims as she rides in Seah's car.

Seah turns on the radio

"Girls. Do you know what time it is?"

"It must be PARTY time!" Both Seah and Mel blast the radio.

"Party" by Girls' Generation starts to play on the radio.

"Is it just me carpooling in your car?" Mel asks.

"Yea. why?" Seah turns down the radio.

"Nothing. I thought Tawnie and Sprin were riding in your car?"

"No, they decided to stay in Mick's car since he has a bigger car for the drinks!"

"Ah. Makes sense. I'm most likely going to sleep in your car going to Merizo." Mel adjusts the seat of Seah's car.

Seah chuckles. "Bet."
