•𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚛𝚒𝚜𝚎 𝚘𝚏 𝚟𝚘𝚕𝚝𝚛𝚘𝚗-𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚝 𝟷•

Ah the Galaxy Garrison, a place known for birthing wonderful space explorers. Y/n and her best friend Katie Holt, or now known as Pidge Gunderson, attend the Galaxy Garrison. The two were paired up with a flirty Cuban boy named Lance, and a sweet boy named Hunk. When they first met pidge had no interest in the boys, her only goal was to find her missing brother and father. Y/n, though very shyly, introduced herself to the two males, learning their names, and to not look Lance straight in the eye if you do not wished to be hit on. The four students soon became good friends. Now, let's go back to the present

"Galaxy Garrison flight log 5-11-14. Begin descent to Kerberos for rescue mission"
The ship starts shaking and Hunk starts to groan
"Lance, can you keep this thing straight?" Lance disregards Hunks question and states that he's simply getting a feel for the stick. He starts moving the ship around sharply, making Hunk groan even more
"Ok, unless you want to wipe beef stroganoff out of all the little nooks and crannies in this thing, you better knock it off man!" "Ugh, please don't do that Hunk" a girl with h/l(hair length) h/c(hair color) hair known as Y/n shudders at the thought of cleaning Hunks puke. Hunk mutters a small of course before hearing a beep coming from Pidges area. Looking back at everyone Pidge starts to speak
"We've picked up a distress beacon!" Lance tells Pidge to track the coordinates while he continues to steer, causing the ship to shake and Hunk to groan once more
" knock it off Lance, please!" Hunk sits straight in his seat, clearly disliking the shaking of the ship
"Oh this ones on you buddy, we've got a hydraulic stabilizer out" the ships shakes once more and Hunk nearly pukes, but was able to stop last minute and swallows he disgusting liquid
"I lost contact. The shaking is interfering with our sensors!" Pidge types furiously at the screen in front of her. Lance complains to Hunk as the boy gets out of his seat and walks to the other side of the ship. Lance looks at his screen to see that he got the coordinates. While the other three were talking Y/n was typing at her screen, trying to calculate if the ship would make it to the coordinates
"Lance, you shouldn't do that! We're currently having mechanical issues, and, er, Hunk issues" as soon as she says that hunk gags, almost throwing up for a second time.
" don't worry sweetheart, this baby can take it, can't you, champ?" Lance pats the ship, only for it to rumble loudly "see, she was nodding! She was nodding" Lance tells Pidge to inform that they were getting near to the crashed ship, Pidge unbuckles her seatbelt and stands up on her seat the grab the walkie talkie. Y/n gulps nervously, knowing that this isn't gonna go well. Half way through Pidges sentence the ship shakes causing her to fly out of her seat on to the floor
"Pidge, you should have kept your seatbelt on! And Hunk, can you please try and stop the shaking" Y/n types at her screen while she says this. Hunk gags again, but this time he pukes. Y/n gags at Hunk emptying his stomach on the ship. Pidge gets back in her seat and starts talking to the radio
" attention lunar vessel, this is the Galaxy Garrison Rescue Craft One Victor Six Three Tango! Coming in for landing and extraction, against crew recommendations" Y/n sighs at Pidges word
"There's no time for mutinous comments now. They're going under and we're going in" Lance steers the ships downwards towards a overhang. Pidge tries to warn Lance but he states that he was called "The Tailor" because of how he threads the needle. Everyone screams as Lance turns the ship sideways to fit through the overhang. They lost a wing as Lance wasn't able to turn fully before hitting the overhang. The ships crashes as they see a big "simulation failed" on the screen. The doors open to reveal Iverson
"Roll out donkeys!" The four stood in a straight line in front of Iverson with the rest of the cadets to the side. The other Cadets point out what they all did wrong as the four stands there embarrassed. Iverson mentions something about the Kerberos mission and Pidge snaps. Luckily Lance slapped his hand over Pidges before she could say anything stupid.
•small time skip•
Y/n and Pidge sat near an edge with a computer in front of them, pidge with headphones on while Y/n writes down anything new. The two were so focused they didn't notice Lance sneaking behind pidge until he lift up her headphone
" you guys come up here to rock out? Pidge gets startled and the headphone fall of her head. Y/n squeak in surprise and tenses up
"Oh, Lance, Hunk! No, um, just looking at the stars!" Lance questions were they got this stuff and pidge answers saying that she and Y/n made it. Hunk sneaks his way to the computer and was about to touch it until Y/n grabs his hand and Pidge yells at him
" Stop it! With this we can scan all the way to the edge of the solar system" Y/n starts to doodle, spacing out the talking until she heard pidge yelling at hunk.
   "Look Pidge, if we're gonna bond as a team, we can't have any secrets" Pidge sighs as she looks back at the flirty boy
    "Fine. The world as we know it is about to change. The Kerberos Mission wasn't lost because of some malfunction or crew mistakes" Hunk got fairly close to touching the equipment before Pidge caught him "STOP TOUCHING MY EQUIPMENT" Hunk groans and flops onto his side. Y/n's e/c (eye color) eyes looked back at them before speaking
    " me and Pidge have been scanning the system and we've been picking up alien radio chatter" Hunk looks surprised while Lance holds the 'I don't believe you' face " sorry babe but you sound insane". She angrily sighs before flipping to a page in her notepad " I'm serious! They keep repeating one word, Voltron" she turns her notepad around to reveal the word 'Voltron' with a bunch of doodles and a robot around it " tonight it's been going crazier than we have ever heard it"

    "Attention students, this is not a drill. We are on lockdown! security situation Zulu Niner! Repeat: all students are to remain in Barracks until further notice"

The four look around nervously, clearly shaken up by the loud and random lockdown. Hunk looks up at the sky only to see what looks like a big thing speeding towards the earth " what's going on? Is that a meteor? A very, very big meteor?!"

•Y/n's POV"

I look at the big thing in the sky shocked before looking at Pidge to see her looking at the thing through her binoculars. "It's a ship!". Lance snatched them with Pidge still holding on
"Holy crow! I can't believe what I'm seeing! That's not one of ours" I take the binoculars out of Lance's hands and look through them before realizing "No, it's one of theirs"
The ship crashes as we see car lights lighting up and driving towards the ship. Pidge, who was already ready to go, goes the way the cars were going, trying to get a look at the ship. I grab Hunk's hand and run after Pidge and Lance. We soon find ourselves on a edge of a cliff, towering over what seems like a building. Pidge types away at her equipment as me and the boys stare at the building below us. Lance snatched Pidge's binoculars and started to look around, soon finding the ship that crashed
"Woah, what the heck is that thing?!" Lance points the binoculars at a random girl walking out of the building "And who the heck is she?" I hit the top of his head, reminding him why we were here. He lets out a 'ow' before speaking
" right, alien ship. Man, we'll never get past all those guards to get a look" Hunks look at Lance with fake sadness " Aw man, yeah, I guess there's nothing to do but head back to the barracks, right?" He stands up and his about the walk away before Pidge says something " wait. The set up a camera in there and I grabbed the feed, look!" We all look at the screen to see Takashi Shirogane, who was believed to be dead, on a table strapped down by people in white hazmat suits. You can clearly hear the fear in Shiros voice when he tries to talk the people
"You have to listen to me! They destroy worlds!" He then said three words that made all of us gasp in surprise

"Aliens are coming!"

"Do you know how longs you've been gone?" Iverson starts asking questions to Shiro. " I don't know. Months? Years? Look, there's no time! Aliens are coming here for a weapon, they're probably on their way, they'll destroy us! We have to find Voltron!"
"Sir, take a look at this. It appears his arm has been replaced with a cyborg prosthetic" Iverson commands them to put him under so they can figure out what Shiro's arm is. Shiro frantically moves, trying to get out of his restraints. Pidge looks sadly at the screen, mutters something about how they didn't ask about the rest of the crew.
"What are they doing? He's a legend! They're not even gonna listen to him?!" Pudge says we have to get him out while Hunk looks scared "I hate to be the voice of reason, always, but weren't we watching on TV because there was no way we could get past the guards?" I take a moment to think before I speak up. " he does have a point, but what if we steal a couple hazmat suits and sneak in, like the people do on TV?"
"Or we could dress up like cooks, head back to the dorms, sneak into the commissary, and get a little late night snack" we quickly disregard Hunks option and think
" no, what we need is a distraction" Suddenly something exploded, making all of us scream in surprise and fear, Hunk clearly more scared than any of us." Is that the aliens?! Are they here? The got here so quick!" Pidge tries and look closer" nope! Those were distractions for him!" She pints at what looks like a motorcycle craving towards were Shiro is being held. Both me and Lance quickly recognized who it is
"No way! Oh, he is not gonna best us there!That guys always trying to one up me!" Lance starts running as Hunk follows behind, questioning who that guy his. Before Lance could speak I answer the question for him." It's Keith, I can recognize that mullet anywhere!" I chase after them smiling while Pidge follows us confused

Keith easily beats the 3 workers in the building and starts cutting Shiro's restraints with his knife, lifting one of Shiro's arm over his shoulder. Suddenly Lance burst in
"Nope. No no no no no, I'm saving Shiro" Lance grabs his robotic arms and puts it over his shoulder. The two start talking as I keep looking back, seeing if there's anyone behind us
" boys, I would love to chat but we gotta go!" Keith looks up in surprise at my voice before smiling at me. As Lance and Keith were dragging Shiro Hunk looked through the binoculars to see multiple cars and many people coming towards us. Pidge, Hunk, and Lance sir at the back holding Shiro while Keith makes me sit in front of him, wrapping his arms around me to reach the handles.

Oh boy, here we go
