Present

Journal # 4 (July 18, 2005)

I woke up in a hospital two days later.

So many things happened the past months I didn't even have the chance to write them on my journal. We watched a lot of movies in the mansion, baked a lot of goodies, went to a lot of places around Isabela (although I hadn't seen other people besides from our bodyguards), and had fun with my twin and brother doing activities around the mansion's garden.

Last week, we went to Manila and enjoyed our days touring around Intramuros and Manila Bay. For some reason my family allowed me to explore different places surrounded by other tourists as well however Liberty had to be left behind at the mansion with Kuya Seraph and Tito Marquis.

We also walked around the big and famous Enchanted Kingdom! The place was humongous I had a hard time memorizing it while walking with dad and mom. The rides were pretty crazy too!

Mom also insisted for me to wear a sunny and a cap. I acquiesced since mommy gave a color purple for me!

Daddy booked us a room in Sofitel. He said it was owned by a friend in France so he was sure the best accommodations would be provided for us.

The time we spent in Manila was one of the best memories I had in my life! Although it would have been much happier if Liberty and Kuya Seraph were with us during those days.

When I woke up in a white room full of hospital smell, I asked Liberty, who was sleeping beside in a chair beside the bed, what happened. Because all I remembered was us enjoying our days in Manila a week ago. She told me I fainted and slept for two days. Our parents and kuya were all so worried.

I asked her where were we. She told me with worry in her eyes that we were in Isabela already. I was confused. Last time I checked, we weren't there. We were still enjoying the city lights and the cacophony of noises from city people and cars. Also, I felt okay.

But her reply confused me a lot more that my own questions.

"Miracle, the day you went to Manila with mom and dad... it was two months ago."

"Kamusta ka na?"

Kasabay ng tanong na iyon ay ang paghampas ng malumanay at malamig na simoy ng hangin sa paligid. Kasabay nito ang banayad na pagsayaw ng mga dahon ng punong nakapaligid sa amin kaya naman ang ilan sa mga iyon ay nahulog at dahan dahang bumagsak sa lupa.

Tumingala ako at dinama ang payapa na bumabalot sa lugar.

"Ayos lang ako." Napangiti ako at nilingon si Geff na nakasandal sa stand ng swing habang nakahalukipkip at seryosong nakatingin sa akin. "I mean it this time."

Nagpalipat-lipat ang tingin niya sa mata ko at kahit nakangiti ako ay seryoso pa rin siya.

Hmm... mahal na yata ang ngiti nito ngayon. Good thing I get a free pass every time I need my favorite smile.

Nandito kami ngayon sa playground sa Heaven Oprhanage at nagkita lamang nang di inaasahan. I am here to visit my three loving sisters habang si Geff naman ay dinala dito ang kapatid na si Carly para umattend sa activity nila this weekend.

Sister Suzy, Sister Mary and Sister Malou were all still busy kaya naman tumambay na lamang muna ako dito. Geff tagged along.

"But you still get those nightmares every night."
