"Elysia?" My body shakes gently back and forth. My eyes slowly creak open. Alexander? Oh god. What happened? Was that a dream? But it felt so real. As if those voices were right in my ear. But why is this happening and why is this happening now all of a sudden?

"Are you okay?" He asks. His dark eyes peer into my soul with evident concern.

As soon as he asks my body jumps with a jolt as if I was just shocked. What the hell?

But before I can question it the searing pain returns to my body, now spread to my entire body.

"Fuck, you must be immune to human medicine." Alexander scrambles. He's standing, ruffling his hair with his hands. He's obviously stressed and who knows how long I've been asleep, but he doesn't seem to have gotten even a second of rest. Now I feel selfish.

"What--what do you mean?" I ask through my teeth.

"I-I need to get you the proper medicine." Alexander talks out loud to himself for a couple of seconds before he comes to term with realization.

"I know a person but we need to get there fast." He gathers his things at almost supernatural speed and lifts me gently in his arms, bridal style. For how large and muscular he looks his touch is very gentle.

And once more, he's the knight in shining armor I never asked for. But I do admit I am grateful for his help. Who knows where I'd be right now if that creature got what he wanted..

A scream escapes my mouth.

"I'm sorry, but you have to try to be quiet, Ely." He says softly into my right ear. We exit the cabin and enter the vast wilderness once more. Except now it is dawn. The hazy fog sets in between the tall pine trees. And as they sway ever so slightly the fog moves with it. The birds are singing and in the distance I can hear a siren. We're still so close to the city. So close to normal civilization and a hospital. Where I could be right now instead of being in the woods against my will. Is it against my will? After all he's saved me and obviously helped me, but a hospital would be far more helpful than this.

"I'm....trying." I barely muster the words.

Surprisingly the trees seem to be moving very quickly. It seems Alexander is running but he's so fast. He's holding my body like a bride and he doesn't seem even the slightest bit bothered. How is that? I'm sure he's a warrior of sorts whether he's served in the military or in the public safety field but where was he trained?

As the trees move by in a flash my breathing starts to become difficult.

"Elysia? Are you with me?" Alexander asks. His attention is solely on what lies in front of him and he is so quick to his feet, every hurdle and log in the way is as if it's normal ground to him.

"Mm."

"Stay with me, we're almost there." Almost where? I wonder.

My breathing is slowing fast, I don't know how long I have until I pass out once more. I despise feeling so useless. I've never passed out in my life now all of a sudden it's multiple times a day?

Suddenly Alexander slows but still keeps a steady speed and slams through large wooden swaying doors with the back of his right shoulder.

"Dara!" He exclaims. Through the peaks of my vision, I can make out a cute and cluttered touristy shop. Perhaps a knick knack store? Have I been here before? It seems somewhat familiar.

Another wave of pain rushes through me as a little of my scream escapes my teeth.

The sound of doors slamming against a surface catches my attention.
