Chapter eight Creep need to learn a lesson

"Sorry I'm not allowed to sell you plants if they're not cut and everything but I can give you the seeds for them." I tell her she frowns. "Nevermind then I only wanted them when they were flowers not seed" she tells me walking out of the store. Well that was kind of werid.

The rest of the morning was still boring then all of a sudden my phone pings. I check my phone and smile it's a text from Bill.

When do you get off work? I pick you up from there

at 4:00

My face turns red and I read the text. A date? I-Is he being serious about it being a date? Not even five seconds later Mabel comes into the store "Hey Dipper you ready to eat?" she asks me. "Yea but lets eat here today I dont feel like going to the park again" I tell her as I put my apron away. "Ok Dip n' Dots no problem" she says as she pulls out two lunch boxes.

"how is work so far?" she asks opening her lunch box while I do the same I look at what she brought me, mac n' cheese, juice box, yogurt, and some cookies. "thank you for lunch and weird Lazy Suzzan but she wanted like the whole flower roots and all but we cant give people uncut flowers. I told her that but told her I can giver her seeds for the flowers she wants but she said she didn't want seeds she wanted the flower. she left without causing a scene but it was weird." I tell her then start eating my lunch.

"Yea that is really weird! Oh I'm going on a date with Paz later alright I don't know what time I'll be home." She says as she starts eating her food. "Bill asked to hang out after work to! can I go?" I ask her blushing remembering him calling it a date but I don't tell her that because I'm pretty sure he was joking. "Go ahead you don't need to ask me you could just tell me" she says laughing making me blush embarrassed that I asked.

"Sorry" I say still blushing while I continue to eat my lunch and drinking my juice trying to finish as fast as I could. "It's fine Dip you better tell me how it goes later" she says raising one eyebrow jokingly making me laugh. "You know I will!" I tell her finishing about half my lunch before deciding I'm full and close it.

"So is a just a hang out or something more?" she asks teasingly smirking and laughing I feel my face heat up at the question. "He said its a date but he was probably joking" I tell her covering my face to hide my blushing and embarrassment. "I doubt it but alright I better be heading back to the shack" she says grabs our lunch boxes and starts heading out "Enjoy your date" she says quickly leaving.

I blush more hearing her call it a date "She'll be the death of me some day" I mumble to myself as I get back to work not doing much since I don't have a lot to do. I thought I would have to do more work than I actually do but its not a bad thing but it get a bit boring. The rest of the day was calm one person came in and brought a single white rose payed then left nothing big.

I get ready to leave a little before four a clock then at four I close up the shop and wait for Bill outside while I text him I finished work. I look around for him then all of a sudden I feel myself being pick up by my waist then hugged from behind making me panic. "Hey Pinetree calm down it's just me!" I hear bill say chuckling at me reaction.

"Don't sneak up on me like that I didn't know who you were!" I tell him embarrassed about my reaction earlier. "No promises! Your reaction was pretty cute through" he says letting go off my I blush at his comment about me. "So what do you want to do?" I ask him trying to make the situation less awkward then it already is.

"I was think maybe go to the mall check somethings out maybe check the arcade out I heard they installed some new game" he says smiling. "Sure seems like fun!" I say excited to check it out, I would have never thought he'd want to go there I can already tell this is going to be really fun. He holds my hand making heat rush to my face he guides me to the mall then to the arcade.

"Let go get some tokens then check out the games" he says pulling me to the coin machine I go to pull out my wallet that has some money Mabel gave me when Bill stops me. "Hey I got it I invited you out remember" he says chuckling pull out his money and gets the tokens himself. "I could have gotten it myself" I tell him feeling guilty that he payed for our tokens.

"I know but I wanted to pay for you" he says winking at me then grabs my hand and pulls me to fight fighters. I remember playing this game with him when we were kids! We were obsessed with it, it was always the game we played first when we went to the arcade.

"Do you remember this game?" He asks smirking as he puts a coin into the game making the theme song play. "Of course I remember this game! The theme song is practically in graved in my head" I say excited smiling ear to ear. I hear him chuckle at my excitement making me blush we start playing the game.

It was the best night of my life I haven't had that much fun outside of littlespace in along time! I never wanted it to end!
