Her Mind

She wakes up trapped

Stuck in this darkness

Trying to hide the struggle

Faced with on a daily basis

She moves like a robot

Automated, going through the motions

Tick tock. tick tock. power down

Repeat the next day

She sashays through the day

Trying to ignore the aching feeling of loneliness

Ignoring the harsh reality of not being need

The quintessence of nobody cares

She stays awake, she can't sleep

The demons that pull strings for show

The nightmares that plague her being

The repititions of a chaotic mind

She paints in violent reds and sapphire blues

Picturing the broken landscape of her mind

Twisted with memories and dreams that

She now knows not the difference

Both are equally warped

She lies awake, crying

Urgent persuasions run through her skull

Tip tapping like spiders,  creating their web of lies and pain

Deceit etched on their vicious faces

The last breath, the last echo

Of an unanswered question on chapped lips

Falling, crashing

Silence.
