Luke. This name just gives me the fucking chills.
Luke is an old lover of mine. We used to be best friends when we were like in preschool. As we got older, feelings started to develop between us. Loving feelings. He was always there for me when I needed a shoulder to cry on.
One day he came to me crying while saying, "I just can't do this anymore. I want to die. I want to just leave and never come back. If I die what difference would it make."
My heart just stopped when he said that. I just kept telling him that everything will get better and that I will always be there for him no matter what. I asked him what happened and he replied screaming, "WHAT DO YOU EVEN CARE. YOU ONLY ASKED ME THAT QUESTION BECAUSE YOU WERE CURIOUS, NOT CARING!"
Later I was walking around with my dad around the park. Until I heard a gunshot. I looked at my dad and he looked pale and collapsed.
He was shot. I turned around and saw Luke with a gun in his hand whispering sorry over and over again. Luke ran away and I never got to seem him again.
I lost the 2 things that I love. Where was my mom you may or may have not asked? She was in rehab.

Selena was the only person who knew the true story of what happened with Luke, and my dad.
I had to get over there fast, but I don't know how.
I gathered all of my money and found all the money I needed to get on an airplane and fly over there.
*on the airplane*
I have so much shit going on through my mind right now, I was excited and scared. Would people even recognize me or what?
I wanted to see Luke, but only to give him revenge for what he did to me.
...
*Off the airplane*
I saw Selena in her car with her mother.
"OMFG JASMINE I MISSED YOU SOSOSOSO MUCH. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH."
"I MISSED YOU TOO. I CANT BELIEVE I GET TO SEE YOU AGAIN I MISSED YOU SO MUCH, I JUST REALLY WANT SOMEONE THERE FOR ME RN, and I'm glad you're here."
"Hello jasmine how are you sweetie? I missed you so much especially Selena, everyday she would always wine about you not being there."
"Well I missed you too and I've been doing okay I guess." not
"How is your mom? Stepfather?" They both asked.
"The same"
"Im so sorry about that." Selena's mom replied.
We got home and Selena and I started talking about what happened while I was gone. Then my phone ringed.
MOM
Oh shit I forgot to tell my mom I was leaving.
"Hi mom." I answered the phone rather nervously.
"Don't 'hi mom' me. Where the hell are you?"
"Umm.. I'm with Selena."
"YOU LITTLE SLUT
"I'm so sorry I-I just forgot to tell you."
My stepdad's voice in the background then groans and says, "Tell that little bitch that if she doesn't come home in 3 days we are going to kill her!"
"Okay I will come home I promise mother." I ended the call furiously and cried.
Why do they always take away my happiness.
"It's okay, we can just enjoy these few days we have together. How about tomorrow we go to the carnival." Selena says.
"Okay that sounds like fun." I love Selena so much, she is always so happy and positive all the time, she is the best friend I could ever have.
*next morning*
SMACK!!!
"OWW THAT FUCKING HURT, WHAT WAS THAT FOR?"
I looked up and saw Selena, "That was for not waking up you sleepy head."
"Asswipe" I whispered
"You know you love me" she said in a play full mood.
"Shut up."
We walked out of the house and on our way to the carnival.
I felt like such a slut because Selena convinced me to wear a turquoise crop top with a black skater skirt. Then I made her wear some gray joggers with and oversized Nirvana t-shirt. Payback bitch.
We went on the spinning chair shit thingy and I threw up. YAYY!
We left the carnival with popcorn, cotton candy, lollipops, and our faces looked like Cinderella and Glitter had a baby and threw up on our faces. I hated it.
The street lights flickered.
"Woah that was pretty creepy." Selena said.
"Probably because the light bulb isn't working." I replied.
All of the sudden, all the street lamps weren't working. We heard very scary ass laugh.
"Selena, what was that?"
"Run!" She shouted
We ran until we felt somebody grab us and put us in a van.
They tied us up and once we got to our destination. A familiar face smiled.
