A/N: Sorry for taking so long, love! I've been getting a lot of requests lately so I finally started getting back to doing my one-shots. Next one up will be a part 2 to my Xiao one-shot, "Something to Say". Also, apologies, I feel like I didn't write this piece as well as it should have actually been, and I'm very sorry if you don't enjoy it as much you thought you would.

"[name], I got you!.. It's okay, don't worry; I'm here now."

It had been so long ago since he had affectionately called out to her in that way. The storm woven in the sky made her blood coil in fear as she remembered the rage boiling that night. He used to hold her close, bringing a kiss of warmth to her head to remind her of his presence.

That time... Such a long moment ago, no long here, nor will it ever be the same ever again, that she knew.

A young teenage woman's feet prodded quickly ahead of her group of friends, her brown hair swaying against the wind, swirling through the air. There was a sense of joy that couldn't escape one's vision一 She was a gem: holding a smile brighter than the sun that was currently tucking itself behind the gray clouds shown overhead. [name] had seen how much of a weight she had brought many times to the table whenever she appeared, but anyone could admit that at heart: she was a beautiful bellow of a laughter, and merrily she could sing them along to dance with her in her glee.

She was a simple, fine beauty, and that burned deeply, scalding [name]'s emotions from within, not directly from who she was, but who [name] no longer had that now belonged to the playful jester.

A wide smile grew on the woman's face as she hurriedly walked through the forest's path, calling out to the quadruple behind her. "Geez, hurry up! You guys are so slow!"

"Rosa, not so far!"

One of the two boys shouted after her tracing figure, grinning as he ran up to catch up to her. As soon as he did, he pulled her up close to his chest, arm slung over her waist seeming afraid that she would disappear if he didn't.

He had done it again. It made [name]'s teeth clench in unavoidable reaction. Why he had insensitively done so, she had no idea. The look in his eyes snarled with a hidden smirk, and that alone was enough to let her down that same path she had been walking on for months now.

Belle, [name]'s best friend, noticed the way her shoulders had drooped in a sagged motion. She lightly linked her arm in her own, frowning just as deeply. "[name], love... Are you okay?"

Was she really okay?

She watched the way the couple had flirted and giggled in front of her. Like they were birthing petals in bloom; igniting a pile of woods into charred flames as a forsaken vow she had done with him once before.

It pelted, straight from her heart like raindrops. Each was a fall she couldn't avoid underneath the thin treetops一 each, a second of every day she had spent into deep thought for this man.

"I'm fine." She slowly assured her friend cracking a small smile her way. "You walk ahead of me... I'm going to take a walk on my own, okay?"

"But一 "

"Please." [name] whispered painfully. "I need my space."

Unable to do anything, Belle let her run off deep down another path away from the group, watching in concern for [name].
