His family are devout Christians. He starts to form his own opinions and doesn't really know his relationship with God, or if he even has one. He has severe internalized homophobia. He meets a boy who is care free and has a wild family. He doesn't know what to make of him.
He has an older sister(22) who is overly homophobic, an older brother (18) who really doesn't give a fuck but is secretly really protective of Andrew, and a younger sister (8) who is too naïve to know anything except that she loves her siblings. His mother is a 'good housewife'. His father beats him and his brother as 'discipline'.

He comes from a crazy family. They are all a bit weird. His parents are both artists and their house is super colorful and every surface is covered by art supplies. He has 7 siblings and they are all super unique. Some of them are a little more eccentric than others. So they are all super supportive of Rory and whoever he wants to date.
Rory himself comes off as innocent and naïve, but in reality he is fighting his own demons, but he is a pretty optimistic person and he also doesn't like other people up in his business. He meets a boy who is the complete opposite of him. Rory helps this boy be who he is and get out of a dangerous situation at home.
