I'm drinking some of my favourite drink when Thor challenges Clint to lift his hammer
Cue montage of the other avengers failing to lift it then Cap almost does
Tony: "it has to be his fingerprint"
Thor: "interesting theory.. but I have a simpler one..(picks the hammer up flipping it) your not worthy"
Clint: "what about the new guy?"
Thor: "Hmm, he can give it a shot if he wants" He puts it back down
Tony and Clint start chanting: "new guy.. new guy.."
Steve: "give it a shot"
Natasha: "lets see if you can lift it"
"T-this is a test right? You could lift it but you choose to build suspense to see if I'll give in to the promise of more power.. but I've decided... as cool as it would be... not to try right now, sorry"
Thor: "there was no test but if there was.. I'd say you passed" He pats my back I feel my spider sense tingle and turn round to see nothing there
"Wait a minute.."
Steve: "what's wrong?"
"There's something coming.." A high pitched ringing plays as everyone tenses up and covers their ears and a mangled mess of empty Iron mans suits walk in
???: "no... how could you be worthy?.... your all killers (points around the room)..."
Steve: "stark?"
Tony: "Jarvis?"
???: "sorry.. i was asleep.. in a dream... there was a horrible noise... I was covered in. (Looks at itself and stumbles around) strings.. I had to kill that other guy.. he was a good guy"
Steve: "you've killed someone?"
???: "wouldn't have been my first call, lest down in the real world were faced with ugly choices"
Thor: "who sent you?"
???: "(in Tony's voice) I see a suit of armour around the world..."
Bruce: "Ultron?"
Ultron: "(normal voice) in the flesh.. or no, not yet, not this body.. but I'm ready.. I'm on a mission"
Natasha: "what mission?"
Ultron: "piece of our time"
I feel the tingle again. Then three more robots burst through the wall behind him as everyone pulls out their weapons to fight. I freeze my fists and punch one. The ice smashed but nothing else happened
"Damn it.."
I try something else. I take out the knife and jump towards it
"Please please please" I shrink down between the gaps in the armour and freeze it from the inside and dive out before I grow back to my original size. The robot gets forced back by some wind I accidentally release and it breaks
The rest take out the other two, with last Ultron standing there
Ultron: "that was dramatic. I'm sorry I know you mean well.. you just didn't make it through.. you wanna protect the world but you don't want it to change.. how is humanity saved if it's not allowed to evolve? With these? These puppets.. there's only one path to world peace.. the avengers extinction"
Something I never would have expected happens. Glitches like in a game appear around Ultron then he is crushed in a second
"Wha.. please tell me that part was just a test.."
Bruce: "sadly not.."
???: "Stark what was that?" Everyone looks to Tony with a glare except from ??? Who gazed at me
???: "who are you"
"I'm Natural.. I'm new"
Glitch: "I'm the glitch.. so what was that?"
Bruce: "Tony and I tried to make something to protect the Earth.."
"It actually wasn't a test.. Welp.. I'm here for the long run then.. what do we do now?"
Glitch: "you can start by showing who you are.."
"You mean this mask?" I hesitate to reach for it but when I do she does the same
