It was night time and everyone was slowly leaving the shop. Aunt Cassey locked the door and went inside where Ewa was waiting to talk. She opened the door  and Ewa looked up to see her Aunt wearing a grim expression.

"So what do you want to know?" Aunt Cassey took out a chair and sat down parallel towards her. Ewa thought hard, biting her thumb. 'What do I want to know the most?' 'how they died or their names?' She took a deep breath and calmed herself.

" Victor and Elinda" Cassey whispered recollecting the past.

Ewa hesitated. "W...Why am I an...orphan?" She whispered for the last word.

"Ewa listen to me carefully, I'm only going to say this once. Victor was one of the most respected man around here but now I don't think anyone remembers him. He was a true fighter whereas your mother Elinda was not from here."

"Not from here? What do you mean?" Ewa interrupted.

"....She was not human..." She said.

That's when the room got very silent.

" WHAT! she was not h-human...."Ewa was dumbfounded. This absolutely shocked her to the core. Because that has never happened before. "That is not possible! It can't be no no!"

" I'm sorry to say this but she was a beast, a mage to be precise. That's how you got the ability to do magic. Nobody knew about this at all. It's a law that masters and beast should not have any types of feeling for each other. Victor fell for your mother and they even decided to run away but...." Aunt Cassey trailed off.

"But what?" Ewa feared the worst. She clutched her hands tightly.

"But they got caught...and they even had you at that time. It was horrible you were at that house alone and they were outside. The villagers came and took you. your parents couldn't do anything so they ran without you. You were just a newborn! It was dreadful. Your mother screamed and pleaded for you to be in her arms. Victor tried fighting against them but ... t. . they . . .shot him. The wound was only on his shoulder thankfully. Elinda got scared and she used up her remaining strength to get out of there. After that nobody saw of them or heard them. They think that Victor might be dead and Elinda back to her home town that is halfway across earth. So I then adopted you. After that you know what happens..." Aunt Cassey ended her story.

At the end Ewa couldn't help it but let a few stray tears fall down her pale face. She was so sad about what happened. 'It wasn't fair' Ewa thought ' I couldn't even see my family and I don't even remember them' Aunt Cassey couldn't do anything except hug her tight while Ewa was sobbing a lot.

" Ewa don't cry sweetie." Cassey gently spoke "You have me and your friends. You will never be alone and I know that we can't fill that hole in your heart but time will mend it." Aunt Cassey caught her as it she was made of glass. Ewa was very sensitive about what people thought about her.

Aunt Cassey patted her head remembering how she did this when Ewa was a child. The memories that she had buried has risen. Ewa just wanted to go home and sleep so that's what she did.

Once she had calmed down she got up slowly and thanked Aunt Cassey.

"You deserve to know the truth "That's what she said before Ewa left.

The truth was out so then why was Ewa feeling unsatisfied. Her heart ached a lot. But for what? A mothers hug? or a father's shoulder? What was it?
