1. The Ruthless Joker

Joker's POV, School Courtyard

"Holy shit! Joker's actually defeating most of the Royle single handedly!" "What happens if he were to beat Kami too? Wouldn't that make him King?!" I stood there listening to the countless comments of my appearance. I was breathing heavily and the Royals in front of me were definitely having trouble against me. The Jack, Yuki, looked like she was one punch away from death. Her short, green hair was messy, and her bangs covered her glowing, blue eyes. The next one wasn't exactly a "Royal," but they were close to their level. That person was George. He had spiky, brown hair and glowing, orange eyes. Judging by his appearance, I'd assume he was of Mexican ethnicity. Then there was the Queen, Eri. Among the Royals, Eri was the second strongest, behind that of the Ace. She had long, pink hair that she kept tied behind her head in a ponytail. Her bangs were also covering her glowing, yellow eyes and she was breathing just as heavily as I was.

My eyes start to water as I stare Eri down, but I ignore it and inhale deeply. At this moment I was holding four abilities, my maximum, and three of them were from my current opponents. Eri had the ability "Lightning," which as the name says, lets her produce lightning. George had the ability "Air Manipulation," and this would let him move the air around him. Finally, Yuki had the ability, "Thrash," Thrash gives a huge increase in strength and speed, but it leaves her wide open. However, I came into the battle with a fourth ability, "Tank," and Tank would normally give a huge increase in defense, but lacked in speed. However, with Lightning and Thrash, I was able to cancel out the negative and turn it into a positive.

I look at my three targets, and I decide on going for George first. I'm already exhausted, and George was manipulating the air around me to prevent me from breathing in oxygen. Instantly, I launch myself from my position and appear in front of George. "George, dodge!!" Eri yells out before I sucker punch George in the gut. "Agh!" George coughs up blood, then I grab his face and slam it into the ground. I pick his face back up and slam down into the ground again, and again. I do it roughly three more times before stopping, and this left a gint crater in the school courtyard. I get back up and turn towards the next two fighters. 'One down, two to go..' I thought to myself before using my right hand to charge up a lightning attack. I look at my left shoulder to remember the damage it received. I
could still use it, but too much shoulder movement would definitely stop my arm from functioning until the fight was over.

Once again, I dash towards Yuki, with lightning in hand. "Oh, no you don't!!" Yuki yells out as she side steps to my left to avoid my incoming attack. "I got you now, you can't use your left arm!!" Yuki extends her hand out as to what looks like an attempt to grab my mask. I sigh and turn over, stabbing my lightning hand into her side. Yuki screams out in pain as she gets shocked by black and red lightning. I pull my hand out then slam my fist into Yuki's face, making her fall to the ground. I stand over Yuki's body and raise my right hand up to the sky. Everyone looks up to see clouds forming in a circular motion. "Gray, please stop!!" Eri yells out in an attempt to stop whatever is coming to the poor Jack.

Gray's POV, Wellston Private High School, Six Months Ago

"Hey, class! Today we have a new student! His name is Gray! Why don't you introduce yourself?" The teacher says and I nod. I was wearing the normal Wellston uniform, but I just didn't want to wear the vest, because it makes me uncomfortable. My eyes meet with the teacher's and that's when I notice the look. I got that same look from the headmaster once he realized I look a lot like my father, John. I then nervously wave and chuckle, "Hey.. My name's Gray. I hope we can get along great." There's a long silence among the room until somebody mumbles to their friend, and they start to laugh. "Alright! Well.. Gray, you can take a seat by Eri over there. Eri please raise your hand!" The teacher asks the student and a pink haired girl raises her hand from the back of the classroom. I make my way over to her, and I take a seat next to her. "Hey, name's Gray." I smile at the female next to me and she says, "I know, you said it up at the front of the classroom." I turn away from embarrassment and reply, "Oh, yeah.. Sorry." I nervously chuckle again and this causes Eri to giggle at my awkwardness.
