Misty tiredly scanned the view from her plane window. She gloomily stared at the gray and dark sky of California. It was bound to rain yet again in this gloomy weather.

The woman sighed tiredly as she got comfortable in her seat and waited for her flight to take off. Over the last four years, she had grown to love the golden state of California but it wasn't the sunshine state.

No, the sunshine state was her home state. Hawaii.

Misty smiled warmly as she remembered fondly her home state. No matter where in the world she was, none would come close to Hawaii.

After the captain announced for takeoff Misty's smile vanished. Just a few more hours and she would be home again. Again after so many years.

Just as the plane began to prepare for take-off a horrible loud sound was heard. This only worsens her mood. She groaned before increasing the volume of her headphones.

"Hopefully this can block your snores." Misty annoyingly thought as she sent a glare to the man sitting beside her. The lyrics "I WANT IT THAT WAY!" screamed in Misty's ears but she didn't care at this point. Anything to block the man's snores.

Her eyes went to the view out her plane window and slowly a smile was seen on her face again. All she could wish to witness was the soothing deep blue pacific ocean of her home.

Misty couldn't help but give a small smile at the sight of her older sister Lily, who was waving her arms for Misty to see. "M I S T Y!" Lily yelled excitedly as her little sister walked towards her, pulling her large luggage suitcase.

"Aloha Lily." Misty managed to say before Lily crushed her in a tight hug. "Oh! Come here Misty!" Misty gasped as Lily tightened her hug, crying out, "I am just so proud of you! First University Graduate in the family!" Misty choked, "Lily- I- cannot-"

"Oh I am so sorry!" apologized Lily as she let go of her little sister. Misty gave her gratitude smile before Lily shoved a dozen of colorful balloons into her hands and a bouquet. "Wha- Lily wait!" Misty said, panicking as her sister grabbed her luggage and began pulling her arm. "Come on kaikaina! We can't stay forever here." Lily urged as she kept dragging the young woman towards the airport's parking lot.

As Lily cruised down the Oahu highway Misty couldn't help but sigh happily at the faint smell of seawater. After they had left the airport the two of them needed to do a bit of shopping and errands to take care of before going home.

Because Lily had brought the family's old Jeep Wrangler instead of their classic Mercedes car, the rooftop of the car was removed. Misty's and Lily's messy hair were all over the place. They didn't mind though. They were used to it.
