Tap tap tap was all that was heard as the rain hit a window. Me, a guy who knew nothing sat upright and I looked around. Where am I ... who am i? I sat there and listened, only to hear the rain outside. I was in a room not very large, but big enough to contain a few pieces of furniture like a chair and the bed I was laying on and a desk. I tried to stand up and instantly sat down, a pain had shot up my back paralyzing me for a few moments. Having fallen back I sat upright again and looked around once more. I slid my hand across my back but felt nothing. Once more I tried to stand up only to fully black out. With not much knowledge of who or where i was there wasn't much thought while i was out. Upon awakening I was in the same room only the rain had stopped and for the first time I realized it was night. Not sure what time it was before I sat there thinking, only I didn't have much thought time for a sound was heard.... It was a distant sound but it could still be heard. The sound only grew louder and louder over time. It seemed to be moving closer to me, but from what direction I did not know. I waited and wait was all i could do. Fear of what would happen if I stood up again consumed me. I hoped that whatever was producing the sound wasn't gonna be threatening.
Not wanting to overreact i closed my eyes and slowed my breathing and cleared my mind, not like much was there, of all thought. It seemed like all time had slowed and the sound slowly faded into nothing. As i opened my eyes i realized the sound had truly faded but this caused more fear. Doing my best i tried to hide my fear though without a mirror i had no clue whether i did a good job. A piece of wall broke and behind it stood 4 masked figures all of which advanced on me. Not caring about anything else I shot up in an attempt to escape only to remember too late. Pain shot up my back and out I went again... this time i had a vision only it seemed real as if it really happening. I was standing upon the wreckage of a building staring out opon destruction... it looked like it had once been a city of sorts and beyond that i could not see. As I looked around I noticed the ground below me... it was riddled with bullet shells and .... Bodys. For the first time I noticed the body's laying all over the floor but before I could examine then I was pulled back into reality.
I opened my eyes and looked around, this was definitely a new room, there was more in this one. To the right was a sink and a mirror above it and to the left was a comfy looking couch and the bed was nice. As I was admiring the room a door in front of the room opened up and 3 people walked in and up to me. I sat upright and stared them up and down with suspicion... two were masked and another was a woman in a dress, she had a sort of child feel but she looked adult at the same time. For the first time i realized that i new what things where, but how come i couldn't figure out who I was or where I was, as i was thinking the women spoke, "Are you alright master" she said, to this i looked up "ma-master" this was the first time i had actually tried to speak which in my opinion wasn't that bad. "Yes, are you ok" with this she moved and rested a hand on my shoulder "No, w-who are you and where am I" I spoke. She removed her hand and looked at me with shock. "Bring in the doctor" she signaled the two other figures and they left. "What do you remember" she asked "I remember waking up and being trapped in the room and how if i tried to leave the bed I would black out" I said "where was I... where am I now?" I questioned her. "Well you are my master and we rescued you from that prison cell" she said "And this is the home you built for the survivors" I took this all in and looked her in the eyes... I didn't know what i was looking for, maybe it was to see if this was the truth or maybe to see if I could find myself. After a few moments of silence a man walked in, he looked old and had a kind face that was warm in some way, he wore a black jacket and some jeans. "Hello kinzo how are you?" he said nicely "oh no don't" the woman said she walked up to the doc and whispered to him, after a few moments they both turned to me and looked at me with concern. "So i see you have a bit of memory loss" the doc said "well sort of, it seems I don't know who i am but i do know what things are" I told him. After a few hours of test and note taking it seemed as if the warmth in him was fading "it seems you are fine and everything checks out" he said "Then why do i hear concern in your voice" I said, what was i saying. He looked at me with a questionable look "H-How can you tell" he said "I-I don't know why I said that, I am very sorry" I told him. I layed back and stared at the ceiling "would I be able to get up" I said to no one in particular "well yes if you wish" the woman said. With this, I tried to stand up only to feel the pain shoot up my back again, but this time I fought against it. I felt it burn more and more and with this, I let out a cry of pain only to hear a roar of a beast. The pain eased at this and soon faded... I turned to the doc and the woman both seemed shocked. "Without his memory, I'm not sure he will be able to control it," the woman said to the doc "please sit back down" she urged me. With this, I collapsed and once again I blacked out... I was back in the ruined city only I was higher up standing upon a tower overlooking all of the ruins. I sat down on the edge and took it all in, what was this place, and why was I seeing it. Soon after I felt it, a tug from behind, and just like that, I was awake again. As I sat upright the woman quickly wiped her face and walked from the couch to my side where she sat down on the bed. "When you said master what did you mean by that," I asked her "well a long long time ago," she said with a little laugh... I don't know why but I made me smile hearing her laugh "I was a servant to a bad man and only being a child I was powerless," she said "soon you showed up and saw what was being done and you saved me and from there I looked up to you and vowed I would always be by your side"
