Chapter 8
Josh POV
6:30

"Are you guys ready?" I ask grabbing my car keys.
"Let's go get back Chloe!" Mikey says grabbing Paige's hand.
We all drive to Chloe's house and her car isn't there. Probably in the garage.
"Josh do you want me to come with you?" Paige asks. I nod.
"Let us know if she talks to you then we all will come in." Brandon says.
I lock my car and walk to her front door.
I look up at her bedroom window and her lights are all off.
Paige points to the doorbell getting me out of my trance of looking through her window.
I push the white doorbell and hear someone rush towards the door.
Chloe's mom answers. Her expression looks concerned.
"Hi Is Chloe here? We really need to talk to her."
She looks down, "She didn't tell you did she?"
"Tell us what."
I move closer to the door. And see a tear fall from her mother's eye.
"Tell us what?" I repeat.
Chloe's mom looks up,
"Chloe got a call from Yale. She got accepted. And also got accepted to the elite program. It starts in 2 days." Her mom says.
"So what does that mean?" I ask. My throat getting dry.
"She left 2 hours ago and will be there for a few weeks. I don't know when she will be back." Her mom says.
I look down and see Paige turn around.
"Can I go up to her room for a second?" I ask getting choked up.
Her mom nods.
