As I opened the door, I took a quick bite out of my apple. "Hey Midoriya!" Denki yelled, grabbing my wheelchair from behind, scaring the crap out of me.

"Ah!!" "Jee, you got scared that easily, quit being such a baby!" Denki laughed. "O-ok... I'm sorry.." "Don't apologize to me! Apologize to whoever's gonna trip on that apple that you practically threw down the hallway!"

Turning around I noticed that Denki was right, there my apple went, rolling down the hall. "Oh crap!" As quick as I could, I began chasing the apple, which didn't take that long to catch up to.

I leaned down to pick it up, but it was a pretty unsuccessful attempt. "Here ya go." I looked up to see a boy, probably the same age as me holding out the apple.

"Thanks."

He had pretty strange hair. One half was red and the other was white, he also had a pretty bad burn scar over his left eye. That was the blue eye, the other was grey. His expression was pretty blank and empty.

"Ugh, it's all dirty now." I grumbled as I attempted to wipe off all the dirt and such. "It's no use.."

"Uhm do I know you? I haven't seen you around here?" The guy asked.

"Well I am new,,.but I've been here for a couple weeks now." Grabbing some books out of his locker and putting them in his bookbag, he said without turning to me, "Oh that's nice."

Awkwardly not knowing what to say, he started to walk away, "M-my name is Izuku Midoriya..!"

Turning around to face me nodded and waved, "Nice to meet you, Midoriya." And with that he was gone.

Man, the least he could've done is told me his name..

But more importantly, now I'm late for class. "Man I spent all my money for thaf stupid apple I didn't even eat it..!" I mumbled angrily as I chucked the apple into the trashcan.

As I entered Ms. Kayama's room she looked at me, "Oh Midoriya, I was just about to mark you as absent. Go take your seat over there."

Nodding, I went over to the desk and took out my notes.

"Now young man, do you have any excuse for being this late?!" I jumped in my seat at first, thinking that she was yelling at me.

When I looked up, however, I realized that she was yelling at one of my other classmates.

"B-but... But I just watched Midoriya walk in a few seconds before..! Why aren't you yelling at him?!" The purple haired teacher looked a bit frustrated at his valid argument but then argued back, "Midoriya has an excuse for being late!"

'U-uh... Not really I was talking to some random guy in the hallway..' was my first thought as the teacher continued to lecture him. But I knew exactly what "excuse" she was talking about.

I'm not special.

There's nothing wrong with me.

And there's no reason to take pity on me.

Or treat me different...

So why?

Why can't you see?
