The Ocean

The radiant light that reflects off the waves
Casts rainbows and halos on whispering graves
No ear and no eye ever notice the play
They capture your secrets and tuck them away

Indifferent ocean and men long since drowned
The grandeur of seas with bones pale heavy crowned
The unholy beauty of creatures marine
The horrors of vastness are setting the scene

Don't speak of the ocean when standing on land
For even the drowned do not quite understand
That water knows death like a man knows his fears
Omniscient sea sheds amphibian tears
