Epilogue

"What are you thinking?" Jennie caught my attention by sitting onto my lap.

We are currently at my apartment. After we got official, we told our friends and Jennie's family about it first before introducing her to my Dad. Yes, I call him Dad again and not Marco. They are happy for us and thankfully, Jennie's parents are as cool as Jisoo Unnie. They accepted me without questioning our love for each other. Maybe they saw how Jennie and I both progressed while having our councelling at the same time.

"Nothing that will make you worried, Hon." I playfully answered that earned a smack from her.

"You looked so serious then you will just tell me that I shouldn't be worried? I can't believe you." She said as she cross her arms on her chest and pout.

I kissed those pouted lips. At first, she did not respond but I didn't stopped until she gave in. We shared that sweet kiss for a moment and then I hugged her tightly before I spoke.

"I just suddenly remembered what we have been through and how blessed I am that I have you by my side. Loving me just the way I have ever wished for." I said

She twisted herself and stradled me on the sofa before initiating another kiss. "I love you, Honey. And I am blessed too that I have you now. We have a lifetime ahead of us and I will never get tired of loving you. Always remember that."

I looked deeply into her eyes. Contemplating if I should say the words on my mind right now. We have been in a relationship for more than a year and I am sure that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I knew from the start that she's the one.

But then, I wanted my proposal to be grand as much as possible. I know that most of the girls are dreaming of that. But then again, I feel that this moment is what I have been waiting for. The ring is always at my pocket. I already bought it months before. I took a deep breath and held both of her chubby cheeks before talking.

"I love you too, Honey. And I feel like a single lifetime won't be enough for me to love you. I love you so much that I feel like my heart is about to explode from beating fastly."

I reached for the ring on my pocket and stood up while lifting Jennie with me. As I got the ring on my hand, I gently put her down on the sofa and kneeled in front of her.

"Hon, in my dark days, you were the light that brought colors into my life. If not for you, I would still be a lost soul with no direction in life. You made me a better person. You saw the best in me despite being broken. You have loved me and cared for me in the worst phase of me.

Jennie, Honey, would you make me even more complete by being my wife? Will you marry me?" I asked nervously. I never doubted her love for me but it makes me so nervous that she may not be ready yet and say no.

I saw her covering her mouth in shock as she's looking at the ring with tearful eyes.

"Lisa......." she called me by my name which made me more nervous. In our entire relationship, she would call me by my name if she is pissed with me or I am in trouble.

"Hon, it's okay if you are not yet ready. I will understand." I said calmly but in reality, I'm about to cry too.

"What are you talking about? You really think I will say no? Of course I will marry you, you idiot." She said as she smacked my arm again. It hurts this time though.

"I'm sorry. It's just that you called me by my name. I am usually in trouble whenever you do that. You always call me Honey or Hon." I defended.

"Now you ruin the moment! I hate you!" She said as she stamped her feet on the floor like a child.

"No. You love me. And I love you." I said and kissed her. More passionate this time.

I can't thank God enough for all the blessing he had given me. I reconciled with my Dad, got my own business, have wonderful friends and have the love of my life.

I thought I would be broken all my life but then again, there is always a silver lining that awaits for us.
